'Catfish' Star Nev Schulman's Wife, Laura, Suffers Miscarriage

"Catfish" star Nev Schulman's wife Laura Perlongo recently opened up on social media about suffering a miscarriage. Perlongo shared a carousel of photos and videos on Instagram to share her experience with her followers.

"Damn this manicure’s been through a lot. About to change it, the manicure that is, n feeling a lil sad to see her go. Maybe that’s obvious, maybe not," Perlongo, 37, began her caption.

"Girl life is such a trip. Life n death, business as usual. No need for sympathy or anything, just didn’t wanna change the nails on this one without saying a word even though that’s the expectation I suppose."

The heartfelt caption continues by explaining how she's feeling and how she didn't plan to post about the pregnancy for a while. "But it’s all so intense and real or maybe it’s delicate and fleeting. The gain. The loss. It’s all the things. Bunch of fuzzy trash pics with unsure faces," the caption continued.

"Wasn't planning on posting until 14w and I guess that woulda had a different spin. Wasn’t planning on any of it. And if it’s happened to you too, I’m just sayin it happens a lot. I’m just sayin I LOVED THIS GD MANICURE. And the all too real fantasy of what coulda been."

According to the Instagram post, Perlongo and the "Catfish" host, 38, were expecting their fourth baby and planned to tell the world at the 14-week mark. The couple are parents to daughter Cleo James, 6, and sons Beau Bobby Bruce, 4, and Cy Monroe, 16 months.

​Perlongo's caption concluded with an uplifting message. "New month new nails tho and that’s OK by me. There’s still a lot of hands out there to hold, for now. Maybe forever for me. Until you let me hold your next baby, of course. ?," she wrote. "Love you love you love you. All the moms n future moms. All the babes n future babes. Dads n future dads too. But get up with that baby when it comes tho DADS or else you’re off the list and maybe that’s all I’m here to say ? ?❣️"

Included in the carousel of photos and videos Perlongo shared was a photo of her positive pregnancy test, the manicure that's been through a lot, her kids working on some art projects, a selfie of her stomach, and a video of the car view of her with the kids.

One of the photos shared is of the kids' drawings with the middle portion cutout. Perlongo took to the comment section to explain the post and the photo further. "i forgot to say i miscarried w pictures , sry for the confusion. Thought the giant empty body section cut out of the drawing did it but I relied on it too much in hindsight. Anyway, no baby! But thank you for all the love and texts ??‍♀️"

Many followers left comments of support and love. "Sometimes we never know that we wanted something we didn’t think we wanted then grieve the loss with so much sadness…it shows our hearts ability to grow and love, to wonder and accept and ultimately let go. We all must let go, sometimes much sooner than we ever planned or ever wanted. Sending peace," wrote one person.
