Selma Blair is reminiscing about one of the most iconic kisses in movie history ... a kiss that was so groundbreaking, she and Sarah Michelle Gellar actually won an award. Blair is, of course, referring to her kiss from the 1999 teen romance flick, "Cruel Intentions," where her character locks lips with the seductive Gellar in a moment that earned the two actresses the MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss and found them recreating the moment on stage in front of millions.

Selma Blair's nostalgic moment was sparked over MTV getting ready to air a special version of their annual awards show, after Hollywood was basically haulted in 2020 over COVID-19. Instead, the network will be airing the "MTV Movie & TV Awards: Greatest of All Time special, and have tapped Vanessa Hudgens for hosting duties.

The 90-minute special will be looking back at some of the wildest moments over the years, and will most likely include Selma Blair and Sarah Michelle Gellar.

"Looking back at the Best Kiss of 2000," Blair captioned a video of herself and Sarah Michelle Gellar accepting the award back in 2000. As is customary during the Best Kiss Award, the two actresses recreated the iconic moment in front of the world and went down in MTV history.

The intimate moment between the two stars didn't go down for the last time on stage, as both Blair and Gellar recently recreated the "kiss" on Instagram while adhering to coronavirus protocols and wearing a mask.

"I got my kiss," Gellar wrote.

The famous "Cruel Intentions" scene wasn't just formative for the two young actresses, it has also been described as helping other stars discover their own sexual identities during their younger years.

Earlier this year, Demi Lovato revealed that it wasn't until she saw the R-rated movie that she was hit with a realization:

"It was definitely when I was young and should not have been watching 'Cruel Intentions' but I did and it was that scene where they made out on the park lawn,” Lovato explained during a Facebook event.

She added, "I was just like ‘Oh wait a minute — I really like that, I wanna try it ... and then when I was like 17 I did get down with that and that’s when I knew. That’s the tea."
