Casanova, who is signed to Jay-Z's Roc Nation, was not charged for the September killing of the 15-year-old. Despite not playing a role in the murder, Casanova is still facing a life sentence in prison if he is convicted on the charges.

The rapper is expected to appear in court today. His lawyer denied his client was on the run and said he always planned on turning himself into New York police.

“Members of Gorilla Stone committed terrible acts of violence, trafficked in narcotics, and even engaged in brazen fraud by exploiting benefits programs meant to provide assistance in response to the COVID-19 pandemic,” said U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss.

Other members charged are accused of using stolen ID cards to obtain illegal benefits from the government. Back in September, Casanova posted a photo of himself in front of a painted Gorilla. He showed off his fit body captioning the snap, "WE STILL US”...UNTOUCHABLE ?"

Casanova is known for his explicit lyrics including, “Punch you in the face muthaf----- I knock ya teeth out. Every time I come through n----- I got my heat out.”

The rapper is still facing charges stemming from an alleged 2018 assault in Brooklyn. In this case, Casanova is accused of punching and robbing a woman who was filming him while he ate at a New York diner.

The assault case is now the least of his worries since he could be sent to prison for life if convicted in the new case.
