The Chrisleys are not leaving Todd Chrisley’s side anytime soon, even as he rides out his lengthy prison sentence.
In case you missed it, the businessman, alongside his wife Julie Chrisley, was found guilty of conspiracy to commit bank fraud, conspiracy to defraud the United States, and tax fraud. The couple began their prison sentences on January 17, 2023, each serving their time at Florida correctional facilities, about two and a half hours away.
Barely a week after his imprisonment, the patriarch of the Chrisley family received his first visitors — his daughter, Lindsie Chrisley, and his mom.
Todd Chrisley’s First Prison Visitors Are His Mother And His Daughter, Lindsie
The Chrisley family is not backing down in showing support towards the businessman throughout this challenging time. ET Online confirmed that Todd’s daughter Lindsie and his mom Nanny Faye visited him at Federal Correctional Institute Pensacola in Florida, where he serves his jail term.
Before this confirmation, the influencer seemingly mentioned an unscheduled road trip in an episode of her “The Southern Tea” podcast. However, she didn’t state the reason for the unscheduled trip. Also, the tv personality revealed that she visited the beach, and this caused people to speculate where she had been.
"This past weekend there was a thread about people trying to figure out what beach I was at and why I was there," Lindsie disclosed. "If it was my parents’ beach house if it was a new condo."
Further, into the episode, the reality star shared that her family was trying to adjust to the reality of the situation. “My family struggled through a lot with my parents this year," she said. "So many things that happened legally. Though the outcome wasn’t what we wanted, there is some sense of peace and closure, and now we have the opportunity to be able to adjust."
Although the news of Todd and Julie’s conviction came as a challenge to the family, the 33-year-old earlier said that she has taken comfort in knowing God has plans for them. Per The Blast, Lindsie shared a screenshot of a TikTokok video, which showed she dedicated to her parents.
The image showed her father and her son, Jackson Campbell, spending time. Alongside the image was a caption highlighting that the TV star has taken solace in God’s word concerning her family’s situation. She wrote, “I know God has a plan. I pray for direction to follow it, patience to wait on it, and knowledge to know when it comes. ✨✝️🫶🦋💬❤️.”
The screenshot was taken from a video compilation of cute moments between Todd, Julie, and Jack. The emotional video moved fans, and some fans expressed their support for the Chrisleys.
A distraught fan wrote, “I have never cried so hard for complete strangers. Y’all are in my prayers! 💜.” While another said, “I’m praying so hard for y’all! Everything will work in you all’s favor. Fight the good fight.”
Savannah Chrisley Is Upset About Her Parents Long Prison Sentence
While Todd's other kids are yet to visit him, they continue to advocate for him and Julie.
Shortly after the pronouncement of Todd and Julie’s prison sentence, their daughter Savannah shared her thoughts on their jail term, describing it as highly unfair. As reported, Savannah ranted on an episode of her “Unlocked” podcast, comparing her parents' prison sentence to Jen Shah’s.
Shah was the head of a “nationwide telemarketing fraud scheme” that had affected thousands of victims. She was sentenced to six and a half years, which is way less than Todd and Julie’s combined 19-year sentence. An infuriated Savannah had said, “Put the cases side-by-side, and it makes no sense — it just doesn’t.”
Savannah continued pointing out the differences between both cases. The 25-year-old opined that Shah’s crimes were way worse than that of her parents, considering that Shah’s fraudulent schemes had actual victims.
The supposed telemarketing scheme was targeted at older adults, depriving them of both their earnings and homes. On the other hand, Todd and Julie were found guilty of bank fraud and tax evasion, which they allegedly used to fund their lavish lifestyles.
In her words, “There were hundreds of victims who were elderly, and people that provided statements that lost their homes threatened to end their lives. There were so many different things, and she got six-and-a-half years. Make that make sense!”
