“The Bold and the Beautiful” is a soap opera that often faces criticism.

Although the iconic CBS soap opera has been on the air for 33 years, won numerous awards, and has gained legions of fans internationally.

However, like other soaps, B&B has received negative feedback from viewers in recent years.

One of the biggest critics is the show’s focus on the never-ending triangle between Steffy Forrester, Liam Spencer, and Hope Logan.

When the show resumed production in June, it appeared executive producer Brad Bell had listened to fans. The love triangle was gone, and all three characters were moving on with their lives.

Yet, based on upcoming spoilers, it looks like the show is back to recycling storylines.

The triangle between Steffy, Liam, and Hope has been going on for 10 years.

Throughout the past decade, viewers have watched as Liam went back and forth between the two women. He’s married Steffy and Hope multiple times, but it never lasts. When something goes wrong in one relationship, he quickly moves on with his other woman.

Both Steffy and Hope have had Liam’s babies. Steffy was the first to make Liam a dad when she gave birth to their daughter Kelly. Weeks after Kelly’s birth, Hope discovered she was pregnant and would later give birth to a daughter named Beth.

When it looked like Liam was going to stay with Hope, Steffy decided it was time to move on. She soon found love with Dr. John “Finn” Finnegan, who assisted Steffy with her recovery from a motorcycle accident and later pill addiction.

As soon as Steffy and Finn started to grow close, Liam’s jealousy reared its ugly head.

Liam began butting into Steffy and Finn’s relationship much to the chagrin of his wife Hope. When Hope told Liam how hurt she was over his interference in Steffy’s personal life, he toned down on his worries.

However, trouble started to brew for Liam and Hope’s marriage due to her ex Thomas Forrester. Liam was skeptical over Thomas’ claims that he was a changed man, and was worried about Hope allow Douglas and Thomas to spend time together.

Last week Liam stopped by Thomas’ apartment and witnessed Thomas kissing Hope, however it turned out to be a mannequin dressed as Hope.

Believing Hope cheated on him, Liam makes a beeline to Steffy’s house, where the exes indulge in a few drinks. Before long the two hit the sheets, and in the morning they’re left dealing with the aftermath of their mistake.

Soap opera fans are very passionate when it comes to their shows.

B&B has always had a loyal fanbase, however they’re not shy about expressing their opinions.

After learning about the spoilers regarding Steffy and Liam’s night together, fans took to Twitter to voice their displeasure.

Longtime Steffy fans are upset the show is having their girl fall back into old habits with Liam. A majority of them want Steffy to be free of Liam and move on with Finn.

However, as many of them expected, Brad Bell insists on keeping Liam in Steffy’s orbit. Given the predictability of the show, many viewers already know which direction this story is headed.

With actress Jacqueline MacInnes Wood being pregnant in real-life, fans believe the show is going to write a pregnancy for Steffy.

Fans predict there will be a who’s the daddy storyline with Steffy, Liam, and Finn.

As for the character of Finn, he’s become quite popular with the audience. They love his relationship with Steffy, and how he’s going to be helping Steffy’s brother Thomas through a personal crisis.

However, the spoilers about Steffy and Liam sleeping together has caused concern about the character’s status with the show.

Many fans are worried that the show is planning to push Finn aside in order to have Steffy and Liam reunite. With Steffy out of the way, there’s no available woman left for the good doctor.

Given B&B’s track record with character, fans have a right to be worried about Finn. However, many are hoping he’ll stick around and that he and Steffy will be able to save their relationship.
