Khloé Kardashian is grieving the loss of a family member. Her baby daddy, Tristan Thompson lost his mother, Andrea, earlier this month. On January 6, news broke that his mother had passed away a day earlier in her Toronto home, leaving behind Tristan and his three siblings, Dishawn, Daniel, and Amari.
The 38-year-old reality star finally broke her silence, dubbing Andrea's passing as "unfair" as she wrote a sweet eulogy for her kids' grandma.
Khloé Kardashian Feels Life Can Be 'Brutally Unfair'
In a post that can only be described as a sweet and heartfelt eulogy, Khloé Kardashian wrote about how life can be "brutally unfair at times" and how Andrea's passing "has been one of the toughest times in so many of our lives."
Andrea passed away on Thursday, January 5th, 2023, after a heart attack. She was rushed to the hospital but the doctors could not revive her. According to various media reports, the 31-year-old basketball player and his ex rushed to Canada to be with family.
In her eulogy, Khloé continued to say how blessed she was to have Andrea in her life, writing, "at the same time, I feel blessed that I am lucky to have had someone that makes saying goodbye so incredibly difficult. So difficult that I’m choosing not to say goodbye for good because that is something I cannot fathom. Goodbyes for good are something I don’t believe in."
She also spoke about her faith in the almighty, writing that she knows that she will see Andrea again. Wrote the mother of two, "I KNOW I will see you again. I know I will hear your sweet voice and infectious laugh again. I know I’ll get to feel that embrace of yours. I’ll see you again with the many that have gone before you that I so desperately miss, love, and cherish. So, I’m choosing to say, that until I see you again in Heaven, I miss you and I will continue to miss you more and more every single day."
Khloé Kardashian Talks About Andrea's 'Boys'
Khloé also put up a picture of her posing with Amari, Tristan Thompson's younger brother, who suffers from epilepsy, a neurological disorder that causes unprovoked seizures and loss of awareness as well.
Her post mentioned all of Andrea's "boys". The reality star wrote, "I know you are with our Lord and Savior. I know you are rejoicing up there. Dancing and singing and probably yelling “who does that!!” because we are crying at your loss. At the same time, I know you never wanted to leave your boys. They are your entire world. They will learn to live with the hole in their hearts because they are warriors just like their warrior mommy."
Tristan Thompson had earlier mentioned how his mother had basically made it her life's purpose to look after Amari, and the NBA player supported her in it. He also established The Amari Thompson fund back in 2013 to benefit Epilepsy Toronto to heighten awareness, education, and funding for the disorder.
In 2022, Thompson said, "Everyone has their motivation. For me, it’s my brother and my family. My Mom has had to sacrifice each day as well. She’s had to watch a child for basically 24-hour care. That takes her away from her own life and freedom."
A Poignant Promise For Amari, Tristan Thompson's Brother
Khloé Kardashian also made a promise to Andrea to look after Amari, given that the former bus driver was heartbroken about her son's epilepsy.
Wrote Khloé "Just know, I promise you, Amari will be perfectly ok. We will all look after him, help him and protect him. Your boys will be ok because they have their guardian Angel by their side."
She then quoted from the New Testament before ending her post with a series of "I Love You" and heart emoticons. Fans shared her grief, while her family rallied around her to support her, including mom Kris Jenner who wrote, "Oh my precious girl I love you so 💔 may God wrap you up in His arms and give you strength."
Jenner had also posted a eulogy for Andrea, earlier and both she and Khloé had attended Andrea's funeral.
