Brittany Cartwright is thrilled to be expecting her first child, a son, with husband Jax Taylor but unfortunately, her pregnancy hasn't been easy.
On Tuesday, as the "Vanderpump Rules" cast member tended to her 20-week check-up with her doctor in Beverly Hills, California, Jax hosted a live chat session with his fans and followers on his Instagram Stories and during the stream, he responded to a fan who wanted to know how Brittany's health has been throughout the past several months.
Brittany Cartwright Is Suffering From Daily Morning Sickness
"She’s having a rough pregnancy. It’s been a lot rougher than the other girls," Jax explained, giving a nod to Lala Kent, Stassi Schroeder, and Scheana Shay, all of whom are also expecting their first children with their partners, Randall Emmett, Beau Clark, and Brock Davies, respectively.
"She throws up and gets sick every day. She’s tried all the medicines. It’s just her body. I could probably count on one hand how many days she hasn’t thrown up," he continued of Brittany's struggles.
Brittany Cartwright Is Eating 'Extremely Healthy'
While a number of Jax's online audience members sent him tips of how to reduce Brittany's sickness, he said that the two of them have tried everything to help ease the symptoms she's experiencing.
"We do everything we’re supposed to do. It’s just the way it is. I’d say five or six days she’s been okay," he shared.
Jax then said that while he didn't expect Brittany to eat "extremely healthy," she's surprised him.
"I thought she’d be eating junk but she’s eating açaí bowls, anything she can keep down. It’s tough,” he admitted.
Brittany Cartwright Is Smiling Through Her Struggles
Despite the ongoing challenges she's faced amid her pregnancy, Jax said his wife cannot stop smiling as she prepares to welcome their son in April of next year.
“She hasn’t stopped smiling. She throws up and she’s smiling away. She’s in so much pain and there’s nothing I can do but she’s a champ," Jax revealed.
Because Brittany has been so sick throughout her pregnancy, Jax was initially convinced that his wife would not want to have any more kids once their son arrives.
Jax Taylor Says Wife Brittany Cartwright Is 'A Trooper'
"I thought the first couple weeks, I’m like, ‘She’s not going to want any more kids after this,’ but she’s a trooper," Jax added.
Jax and Brittany tied the knot surrounded by their "Vanderpump Rules" co-stars in Kentucky in June of last year and months later, their nuptials aired on the show. Then, in September of this year, just weeks after Lala announced her pregnancy and weeks before Scheana announced her own, Brittany revealed she and Jax were expecting their first child.
