'RHOC' Star Emily Simpson Admits Marriage To Husband Shane Is 'Work'

Emily Simpson opened up about her marriage to husband Shane Simpson in an Instagram post shared days ago.

Ahead of the upcoming new episode of "The Real Housewives of Orange County," which is set to air on Wednesday, the mother of three took to social media to speak of the "ups and downs" of their relationship after experiencing hardships on the 14th season of the series earlier this year.

"Marriage is a lot of ups and downs, twists and turns. Sometimes it’s bliss. Sometimes it’s hell," Emily began in her candid post. 

"Sometimes I love this man so much I can’t even stand it, and sometimes I can’t stand him," Emily continued. "Marriage is a lot of work. Hard work. It takes dedication and commitment and integrity and honor. It takes devotion and patience. It’s never easy, but if you’re in it for the long haul the rewards, laughs, memories, late night chats, and witty yet mostly sarcastic jokes outweigh the challenges."

Emily joined the cast of "RHOC" during season 13 and has been featured full-time ever since.

While Emily certainly exposed some not-so-ideal moments between herself and Shane during the past few seasons of "The Real Housewives of Orange County," she told her fans and followers that she's learned from the challenges she and Shane have faced. 

"If I learned anything in the past year it’s that family comes first. Always. Commitments should be honored and the best interests of my children are of the utmost importance. So here we are... 12 years married, just mom and dad raising five incredibly happy, kind, smart and loving kids. Together for always," she continued.

After opening up about her marriage with her own statement, Emily opened the door for comments from her fans and followers. 

"What challenges have you faced this year and what positive things have you learned? Tell me below, so we can share positive stories of growth and love in an otherwise crap year," she told her online audience.

As fans of "RHOC" well know, Emily has always been open about the ups and downs she and Shane have faced and while they are in a much better place today than they were last year, she continues to speak candidly with fans.

During the new episode of "RHOC," Emily and her husband will be seen in a bus with her female co-stars after a number of other husbands ditched him. 

As for what else fans can expect to see from the currently airing season, they'll likely be seeing tons of happy moments between Emily and Shane.
