According to reports, Duane Chapman was convicted in 1976 after a drug deal went bad and his accomplice shot and hilled a 69-year-old man.

Despite the fact Duane was waiting in the care and played no part in the actual shooting, under Texas law, Dog was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to five years in prison. To this day, he is not allowed to enter England, and it's the reason he uses pepper spray and non-lethal rounds on his television show.

After 40 years, Dog is still trying to get a pardon from his crime, so that he can become an actual police officer, something he has dreamed about since childhood.
