In the parking lot, Von and his entourage initially pulled up and everything seemed smooth. Then, things got very hectic when Von, seen in a white t-shirt, landed a punch on someone who is rumored to be Quando Rondo.
From that point, gunfire erupted and that's when Von and his manager, Jameson Francois, got hit. Von was treated at a hospital as well but just could not make it. This was after the vehicle who picked them up raced there in order to potentially save him.
Von's Manager Explained What Happened During The Shooting
Francois took to social media to explain exactly what went down after it was believed that Atlanta police shot Von. Many started to flee after police started shooting following the original shots that started the scary incident.
"Those shots that was fired from the individuals that shot Von and myself was the only shots fired from those individuals. Every other shot was coming from authorities. They started shooting everywhere. So, when you see everybody taking cover, they wasn't taking cover away from the shooter from Von. They was takin' cover because they didn't know where the shots was going from."
Von's Shooting Came A Week After Release Of 'Welcome To O'Block' Album
Prior to Von's tragic death, he had released his debut studio album, "Welcome to O'Block." The title is in reference to the area of his hometown of Chicago that he grew up in. It went on to do very well as it debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard 200, his highest-charting project of his career.
This project has 16 tracks with solid features from Dreezy, Fivio Foreign, Polo G, Lil Durk, Moneybagg Yo, and more. Earlier this year, Von also released his "Levon James" mixtape.
Stars Close To Von Such As Lil Durk And Asian Doll Paid Homage To Him
The death of Von hit the hip-hop community hard and it seems that this has been the case heavily for Lil Durk and Asian Doll. Durk is also from Chicago and collaborated with Von frequently. He took to Instagram to show Von love but then, he deactivated his account and still hasn't return. Doll used to date Von and has since given fans plenty of content from when they were together. She also claimed that she spoke to him through a spirit reader and knew his last words. Von's manager soon debunked that claim.
