Erika Jayne's Divorce News Followed By Suspicious Blind Item

Erika Jayne announced that she and her husband, Thomas Girardi, are parting ways after a 21-year marriage on November 3 and days later, a report from All About the Real Housewives has revealed that the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" cast member's sudden news was followed by a suspicious "blind item."

According to the report, a blind item regarding the impending divorce of a "Real Housewives" cast member surfaced on the Crazy Days and Nights website on the exact same day as Erika's announcement.

"The Housewife did the math. She gets the same money in a divorce as waiting for the guy to die, so, might as well go enjoy life,” the blunt item alleged.

As "RHOBH" fans well know, Erika is 49 while her now-estranged husband, who has been facing a ton of lawsuits in recent years, is 81, a whopping 32 years her senior. However, in the past, Erika always insisted that the age gap between them wasn't a problem. 

In fact, in April of this year, she said on an episode of season 10 that people should go and get themselves a 20-year marriage before they come to her with criticism and backlash.

Erika Jayne announced her split from Thomas with a statement to press on Tuesday. 

“After much consideration, I have decided to end my marriage to Tom Girardi,” she said. “This is not a step taken lightly or easily. I have great love and respect for Tom and for our years and the lives we built together. It is my absolute wish to proceed through this process with respect, and with the privacy that both Tom and I deserved; I request others give us that privacy as well.”

In the comments section of All About the Real Housewives' article, a number of their readers weighed in with comments. 

"Mean and gross. Let people have their privacy during times like this...," one person wrote.

Another reader mentioned the recent online rumors in which it has been alleged that Erika was unfaithful to her estranged husband prior to their breakup.

"Ok so what we really want to know is.. who is the married man Erika has been having an affair with for two years who is not a musician, actor or sportsman... but apparently viewers all know? That's the real tea we want spilled!" they said.

"So, what this post is saying is that Erika can count?" asked another reader.

A fourth person suggested that it was Erika and Thomas' sex life, or potential lack thereof, that ultimately led the couple to call it quits.

"LOLOLOLOLOLLOLOLOLOL! She's tired of getting begged to have sex with this 80 year old man," the person stated.

Erika and her cast mates are currently in production on the upcoming 11th season of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," which is expected to air on Bravo sometime next year.
