Jameela Jamil is addressing the fashion and size problem in Hollywood.

Over the last few days, the actress has taken her vocal stance on issues relating to celebrity sizes and weight a notch higher. From waging war against rapid weight loss solutions to sticking up for actress and singer Selena Gomez after internet trolls dragged the latter for putting on weight, the body positivity advocate has been busy. Now, she is lamenting how getting clothes in certain sizes has become more of a hassle than usual.

Fans who follow Jamil on social media know that she is not a fan of society telling women what size they can or cannot be. The former BBC Radio 1 presenter reiterated her viewpoint in a series of explosive rants that she began by noting that she had something she wanted to talk about.

That "something" turned out to be the "privilege" stars are required to have "to be allowed to exist in the mainstream above a size 4 in my industry." Sharing that she is a 5'10" woman whose size fluctuated between "a size 8, sometimes a 10 on my hips during winter," she stated:

"I CONTRACTUALLY have to go to events and be in magazines to promote my work, and in order to maintain relevance that keeps me working, I have to wear nice, and current clothes. BUT the samples for these clothes are F**king TINY."

Somehow, the situation had worsened due to the weight loss injections most of her colleagues were taking. Jamil referred to her luck that she can "afford amazing stylists and talented tailors to alter the clothes to make them so much bigger: but what about the people who haven't got this access? You see it FORCES everyone to conform to the tiny sample size."

After highlighting that this development made women feel like there was something wrong with them, she explained in another Story:

"If designers made the samples bigger, this wouldn't happen: they are directly responsible for the trickle down effect on our society. I personally refuse to change my body for clothes. I did that for 30 years and I was MISERABLE. I'm just so lucky I have the power and option to do that."

Jamil wondered how other — curvier — women were dealing with the problem if she was "having this issue as a relatively slim person in Hollywood." "In short. In 2023 Can we please…Finally…Let women eat?," she queried in a final update.

"The Good Place" star had previously declared that women did not need to "justify their size" during her show of support for Gomez. Pointing out her disappointment, she said that the fact that the "Only Murders in the Building" actress felt the need to "explain or defend her size" was "a sign that we are colossally FAILING as a society."

Jamil clarified that with the "return of size zero" — thanks to "all these f**king celebrities taking diabetes meds to be skinny," the tradition of "women apologizing for their bodies" needs to remain in the past.

The ex-radio host of "The Official Chart" concluded her rant by eulogizing Gomez as a "gorgeous" woman who "deserves better than this." In fact, for the onscreen star, "We all deserve better than this." The Instagram Story was posted a few days after the "Calm Down" singer herself addressed her weight gain on Instagram Live alongside her little sister, Gracie Elliot Teefey.

In one of her other rants, Jamil focused on the specific use of Ozempic — an injectable drug for type II diabetes— for quick weight loss. Per The Blast, she took to Instagram to admonish the rich people who were "buying this stuff off prescription for upwards of 1000 dollars."

That action led to "actual diabetics" experiencing "shortages" thanks to it becoming a "mainstream craze in Hollywood." Despite the occurrence, the "DC League of Super-Pets" voiceover artist was hopeful that it would end differently from how it did during the opioid craze.

"I'm deeply concerned but I can't change any of your minds because fat phobia has our generation in a chokehold," Jamil conclusively wrote.  Jamil prevented her followers from dropping their views below by locking the comment section, proving there was no point in having "this conversation anymore."
