The Blast has covered many aspects of how Echard has opened up his heart and slowly made his way into the wellness coaching field. Echard has spoken at mental health conferences, where he has shown off screenshots of hateful direct messages he received after the finale. Echard dumped both Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia at one time, after revealing he had been in love with not only them but his third-place babe, Susie Evans.

Going Deeper With Clayton Echard As He Discusses His Mental Health

Echard, who started dating Evans after the season wrapped, has transparently discussed his mental health through multiple social media platforms.

He frequently opens up on Instagram about where his heart is. Last month, Echard discussed addressing his past in an Instagram post, where he opened up about how the confrontation has helped him come to terms with himself, and "find [his] inner-peace."

Echard also opened up about the experience that can result from fame and what can happen when that fame fades away.

He touched on how dopamine release had played a role in his relationship with fame, and how he began experiencing sadness once the whirlwind of fame began to slow down.

"I was no longer the 'hot commodity' and even though I said I was fine with that, I couldn't help feeling sad. I want to go back to normal, but getting back to normal is tough to go back to when you're experiencing the unbelievable," Echard wrote in his iPhone note Instagram post.

Echard Tackles Childhood Trauma In Latest Instagram Post

Feelings of inadequacy have plagued Echard for a long stretch of time in his life.

The now-single Echard posted a childhood photo on the 'gram Thursday, where he went into more detail surrounding how he hadn't known the source of where unaddressed pain continued to come from. He had been a young teen when he began experiencing mental health struggles.

In the caption for the photo set, Echard wrote, "For a large majority of my life, I've struggled with self-confidence, feelings of inadequacy and self-love, but I wasn't sure where these feelings were stemming from for so long... until I started to reflect back on my past," he began.

"I feel a lot of my pain stems from the unaddressed trauma from my childhood. For so long, I believed I could run from it, and eventually, time would heal and I would forget about my pain," Echard explained. "But that is just not how that works. Many of us face issues today that started back when we were children and the only way we truly overcome these struggles is if we finally address what we've been suppressing all along," he continued.

"This is me back in 7th grade. When my mental health struggles began. I still see this face in the mirror sometimes," "The Bachelor" alum went on, "It's still a part of me. But, I'm finally ready to find answers to the problems I've evaded for so long. I'm excited to be able to share my story with you all here soon... to share the untold story of 'sunshine...' because being able to confidently tell my story has brought about a peace like no other. I hope through reading a bit of my story, you will find that confidence in yourself to learn and share more about yours as well," Echard concluded in his post.

Echard's post was met with an incredibly positive reception.

"Love Is Blind''s Nick Thompson commented, "Such a strong message. Confidence is hard and takes time. Thanks for sharing your story. It helps all of us," he said.

"So proud of you for embarking on your self-love journey," a fan commented on his post, "It's so healing. But healing isn't pretty and it hurts and you have to face some truths BUUUTT, it's absolutely worth every tear. Only the strong ones face the trauma that has followed us into adulthood. I'm happy you're no longer running from your inner child. Get to know him. Let him know he is safe!! Sending you all the love and light through your journey!!!"

"Sunshine" is presumably the title of Echard's book, which he revealed in the comment section, will be released soon!
