Kelly Ripa is turning on herself after her weight sparked concerns among fans. The 50-year-old star addressed her self-esteem in an off-air clip. In a telling video, shared on the “LIVE With Kelly and Ryan” show’s official Instagram page, the host is seen holding up a mirror and calling the reflection “hideous.”
As The Blast reported, body shamers came for Kelly Ripa after she shared a full-body shot showing her itty bitty frame dressed as Wonder Woman for a Halloween throwback.
Proving she’s got legs for days despite her small 5’3″ stature, Kelly Ripa was seen dressed as the superhero but many weren’t impressed. The picture backfired miserably with concerned fans flooding the comments about her thin appearance. “Kelly you are adorable but I know one day we will read about your battle with food,” one person commented on the Wonder Woman TBT.
“You look too skinny. Eat something,” instructed another. While Kelly Ripa appeared to laugh off the trolls, her new video might be a cause for concern.
While her physique has collected major attention lately, Kelly Ripa decided to cover it up on Tuesday’s episode. Wearing a navy sweater that hung loosely around her waist, the star paired the laidback look with a silky pink shirt that hit just above her ankles.
Wearing her glasses and sitting in her host chair underneath the bright lights, Kelly Ripa held a handheld mirror while joking about her appearance. Without the mirror, she repeatedly called herself “hideous.”

Holding the lighted mirror up to her face, Kelly Ripa glowed and quickly changed her tune. “What? Awe!” she said towards the camera in delight. The star’s energy completely changed after that with Kelly Ripa then breaking down her entire Election Day look.
Showing off her sweater that read, “Big Ballot Energy,” the “LIVE host” unpacked a fun story which included a cameo from Al Roker. This was a very important election for Kelly Ripa’s family, as it was her 19-year-old daughter Lola Consuelos‘s first time.
Like Lisa Rinna, her daughter lost her voting v-card in the 2020 election and Kelly Ripa couldn’t have been prouder. Sharing several shots of Lola Consuelos dropping off her ballot, the TV star showed that her family was determined to vote despite the wet New York weather.
Holding up an umbrella, and covering up in the cold, Lola wore her “I Voted” sticker and posed for her mother who wrote the proud caption, “Couple of chips off the ol’ block ?????? #iamavoter (Lola’s first election!)”
