The 56 years of marriage between this pair further prove that couples don't have to come from the same lifestyle to create lasting love. On that note, the multi-hyphenate talent is sharing some secrets behind her almost six-decade marriage.

During an interview with ET Online, the "I Will Always Love You" songwriter spoke about her long-lasting union with Dean, giving rare insights into the marriage.

She began, "I think I've talked pretty much about everything through the years with Carl, and we're different people. But we just work so well together."

Parton, who has carved out a profitable career for herself in country music and amassed tremendous success, spoke to the dynamic of their relationship.

She said, "He's kind of a loner, so he doesn't really like being with anybody but me, when I'm home -- I mean, he's not one to kind of get out there and socialize that much. He loves living on the farm, taking care of the property as he has for all these many years, and then, we just have a lot to talk about."

According to the "Joyful Noise" actress, his preference for a quiet life matches his music appreciation and ensures the couple stays interested even all these years later.

Another factor in their long marriage is a "sense of humor." The country legend disclosed, "We have a lot of love and respect for each other, and I think the key to all of it -- we both have a crazy, warped sense of humor, so we have a lot of fun."

Parton's recent revelation brings to mind a previous fact the singer shared about her beloved partner. The "Coat of Many Colors" songstress' husband often champions that they keep their lives separate from their different worlds but stay connected through love.

Parton said, "It's just not who he is. He's like a quiet, reserved person and he figured if he ever got out there in that, he'd never get a minute's peace and he's right about that."

The "Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" star and husband tied the knot on May 30, 1966, in Ringgold, Georgia, after dating for two years. The couple first met at the laundromat and fell in love at first sight, and for their 50th wedding anniversary, they renewed their vows in a private ceremony.

Last Valentine, Parton did the unusual and shared a rare photo of her and her husband to the delight of fans. The Blast documented how Parton celebrated the special event.

In the snapshot, the loving husband donned a black shirt with his dark hair sleeked back, while Parton wore a denim jacket and rocked her curly blonde hair. He placed a tender kiss on the cheek of his gorgeous wife, who grinned gaily.

The heartwarming caption read, "Remember to squeeze your loved ones a little tighter today and tell them you love 'em!❤️," alongside the "Happy Valentine's Day y'all!" shoutout.

The lover's day tribute comes a month after Parton disclosed how she keeps her relationship hot and spicy with fashion.

Per the report, the "Here I Am" singer shared that it was essential for her to glam up for her man. In her words, "Nobody wants to make out with a slouch! It's important to me that I look as good as I can. I think it kind of helps keep things spicy.

The "9 to 5" artist may be acting on her husband's preference as she also shared that he loved her famous "Playboy" magazine cover. To that effect, the Grammy winner recreated the steamy look in honor of his 79th birthday in July 2021, which she gushed about by saying, "I thought, 'Well, I'll just go surprise my husband and just cook breakfast for him in my bunny suit.' He got a kick out of it, and evidently a few other people did, too!"
