Heather Rae Young and her stepdaughter, Taylor, share a special bond, and she is opening up about it in a recent post.
The "Selling Sunset" star is expecting her first child with her husband, Tarek El Moussa — a father of two — and she dotes on her 12-year-old bonus daughter. Somewhere in the post, she acknowledged, "There was never an 'awkward' phase for us," speaking to the likeness that sparked from the beginning between them.
Pregnant Heather Rae Young Opens Up About Her Rapport With Stepchildren
The mom-to-be, who shares two stepkids-Taylor and Brayden, with her husband from his first marriage, recently posted to her Instagram page a picture of herself and her stepdaughter with her three million followers.
The picture showed them striking a pose in an embrace of one another while they smiled boldly to the camera in a room that looked like a spa, rocking a grey robe. The "Playboy Playmate of the Month" honoree explained in the caption how Taylor had "melted her heart" when she met her. Alongside the photo of the duo hugging, Heather wrote in parts:
"Got so lucky with this one 🤍 I met Tay when she was a little girl and the second I met her, I knew my life was going to change. She melted my heart. She opened her heart to me day one of meeting her."
Still speaking on their close relationship, the 35-year-old apprised viewers that she wasn't worried about what they felt concerning her "close relationship" with the children. She wrote:
"Not everyone can understand the close relationship I have with the kids & that's fine, all that matters is how we feel. The kids made me want to have kids, I love my role as their bonus mom❤️."
Subsequently, the message concluded with how "amazing" her stepchildren have been throughout her pregnancy journey and also mentioned the level of care she has received from them. She then concluded her caption with:
"She is so caring beyond her years. And told daddy 'if I’m at school and Heather goes into labor call the school right away so I can talk to her & tell her good luck & I love her'"
Tarek gushed over the post in the comment section by writing, "My girls" and three heart emojis, to which Heather responded with four heart emojis and "my love."
A follower wrote, "The kids are so open and caring because their parents raised them well ❤️." Another fan commented, "Ugh I'm just SO EXCITED!!!!!! I wanna see the kids reactions when they meet him can't wait!."
As fans are aware, Heather is expecting her first child, and from the regular updates she shares, the due date is around the corner. However, The Blast reported in October that the real estate agent revealed her stepdaughter was the "very first person" to know about her pregnancy.
She shared a picture that showed her and Taylor sitting in the backseat of a car, with the 12-year-old kissing her on the cheeks. In the caption that followed, Heather told followers that she had requested to be the first to know if they ended up having a newborn. The realtor wrote:
"So we had to tell her right then and there instead of surprising her and Bray together. I love this girl to pieces and can't wait to see her be the best big sister to another baby brother."
The 'Selling Sunset' Star's Battle With Sciatic Pain Is Her Rearview
Two months after sharing the news of how her stepdaughter found out about the pregnancy with her followers, Heather used the same medium to disclose that her sciatic struggles were over.
The Blast noted that the severity of the health problem caused her doctors to place her on bed rest, which she had described as "unbearable." However, before her son's arrival, the former "Playboy" model shared the good news via a video update of herself walking a black pug down the street. Heather said:
"my sciatica is gone. I started walking Bugz again yesterday. I haven't exercised or walked in a long time. So, I'm going slow."
During the 18-second clip, the American socialite listed the tips that helped her, and they were: "Resting as much as possible when I could, physical therapy 2 times a week, acupuncture 2 times a week," and alternating ice and heat.
