When adorable raccoons started showing up in the kitchen window looking for food, the raccoon drive-thru became a daily occurrence for one animal loving family. The Canadian family began leaving various food choices for their furry visitors every day and sharing their sweet interactions on TikTok. But then for two days, no raccoons, which worried the family that something bad has happened to their cute friends.
The Raccoons Didn't Show Up For A Few Nights Which Worried The Family
A few days ago, the family posted a video explaining that they are concerned for their usually daily visitors. "Lets hope they show up tonight. It's a bit unlike them to not show up at all. I put out food last night and it went untouched π©. everyone send good vibes that the little guys show up tonight πͺπ," the video was captioned.
Many of their followers also became concerned, as it's not like the raccoons to miss a free meal. "I CANNOT TAKE ANY BAD NEWS ABOUT THEM. I swearrrr," one follower wrote. "Oh noπ’β¦ I hope that they are ok & come back to visit soonβ€οΈ," another added.
The family wrote in the comments, "They have gone away before for about 5 days. I hope this is the same situation. I have been feeding this family for over a year," and later in the comments also wrote, "They have done this before at Christmas for about 5 days they didn't show and randomly they popped up again. So here is hoping. π₯Ί"
A Recent Update Gave Good News About The Food Bandits Turned Friends
An update video had happy news, with some concerning news. "Replying to @arielb888 I chatted with neighbors and one has a trap out right now. I'm scared they are going to try trap them. I guess some raccoons have been peeing and pooping in their pool. I asked them to take it down but they refused πππ I just hope these guys are smart enough to stay away," the caption reads.
One follower had a suggestion to help the smart visitors avoid the neighbor's traps. "Give them a powerpoint presentation on the traps, how they work, how to avoid. They're smart." The family replied, "I did. I showed them a YouTube video lol. not sure it translated into raccoon. π"
Another follower had another idea writing, "what's the neighbors address asking for a friend." And another had a more peaceful suggestion, "Put out a baby pool for them to use. π"
One follower is worried that the neighbors will harm the raccoons. "π I hope they donβt hurt them and they just stay in your space. π₯Ί" The family responded, "I was sick to my stomach when they told me they had a trap out. I couldn't sleep last night. I hope they are ok."
