Kate Beckinsale's Golden Bra Sparks American Voting Outrage

Kate Beckinsale understands she's not American and cannot cast a ballot in the upcoming Presidental election, but when the Hollywood actress tried to get creative and remind Americans to go cast their vote it was met with a vitreal response from some voters who wanted the British actress to keep her politics across the pond. The "Underworld: Evolution" star took to Instagram early Friday morning to rally up all her fans in the U.S. with a picture inspired by the democratic process.

"I can’t vote due to being ?? but I CAN wear a custom golden VOTE bra and encourage you to," Beckinsale wrote to her over 4 million fans on Instagram.

Standing beside her fireplace and gently tugging down a pair of low-rise white pants, the actress showed off a custom black bralette with golden letters attached spelling out the world "VOTE." Beckinsale completed her political statement with a pair of glittery sleeves.

While the star was clearly trying to get out a positive message, some of her American fans didn't take so kindly to the British influence.

Kate Beckinsale continued on her political agenda, informing followers:

"In fact please vote on my behalf. If the voter registration deadline has passed, you can still register to vote in person at a designated Election Day Registration office. Contact your Local Election Office if you have any questions. Check your state for details."

The responses came in swiftly from many followers in the states, including one who wrote:

"Stay the fuck out of an American election you don't have a dog in this fight so shut your mouth ok thankfully yours USA."

The piling on continued, with others telling Kate Beckinsale that she shouldn't be requesting votes on her behalf.

"No one is voting on your behalf. You're a brit. You don't get a say. Sorry," one bold fan wrote.

The actress is not above a good clapback, however, and informed the fan that:

"oh too late several people have said they are . Pip pip tally ho let’s have a crumpet."

The actress was backed up by a fan who responded, "Are you saying she doesn’t have any influence in the US just because she’s British? That’s preposterous!"

Although there was plenty of negativity to go around in response to Kate Beckinsale, there were a few fans who stood up and let it be known that she didn't do anything wrong.

"Goddamn. You take on soooo much hate for being female. If you were Ryan Gosling the comments would be vastly opposite. Unfucking real," one fan wrote.

The actress thanked them for "noticing," in her quest to just get the voting message out.

Wherever your political stance lies, we can at least all agree that Kate Beckinsale has a fantastic rack.
