Law enforcement officials have arrested the suspect and the "Ocean Eyes" singer is now filing a restraining order to keep her alleged stalker away from her and her family.
Billie Eilish Seeks Protection For Her Family After Stalker Broke Into Her Family Home
In court documents obtained exclusively by The Blast, the “Happier Than Ever” singer revealed that she is seeking protection for her, her brother, and her parents against a man named Christopher Anderson.
“My father and members of the Los Angeles Police Department recently informed me that an individual who goes by the name Christopher A. Anderson or Chris Anderson recently entered the interior of my family’s home on January 5, 2023, unannounced and uninvited, after apparently professing his love for me and expressing that he really wanted to meet me,” she wrote in the petition. “I have viewed images of this individual and can confirm I have no idea who he is and that I have had no prior relationship or communication with him.”
The ”Bad Guy” singer claims that she has suffered emotional harm from the break-in, including “Emotional injury including for my safety, fear for the safety of my family, ongoing loss of peace, tranquility, and security in my childhood home and personal space resulting from the repeated instances of harassment by Mr. Anderson.”
The 21-year-old singer stated that he has tried to contact her numerous times between December 22, 2022, and January 5, 2023, a day before the break-in occurred. She is asking a court to prevent her alleged stalker from contacting her or her family members through social media “or by any other means.”
Billie Says She Does ‘Not Feel Safe’ Returning To Her Childhood Home
The “when the party’s over” singer went on to say that, unfortunately, this is not the only time that someone has attempted to contact her, her family members, or stalked her, or made threats of violence against her, prompting her to “not feel safe” returning to her childhood home despite 24-hour security surveillance around the property.
“Regrettably, this is not the first time an unknown individual has attempted to contact my family and me specifically by stalking us outside my family’s home and by making professions of love to and threats of violence against me,” she wrote. “However, each such occasion, including the present one, causes me substantial anxiety, fear, and emotional distress over my personal safety and that of my father, mother, and brother.”
“I worry that someday one of these individuals will do something violent or extremely disturbing to me or one of my family members,” she continued. “Notwithstanding the 24-hour security surveillance and security team employed by my family, I do not feel safe returning to my childhood home, visiting with my parents in their home, or being anywhere near this individual named Christopher Anderson."
Billie’s father also recalled seeing Anderson around the property on multiple occasions. “On the last occasion, January 5, 2023, Mr. Anderson was arrested after breaking and entering our home and on suspicion of burglary,” he reported.
Previously, on December 29, 2022, at around 7:35 AM, Billie’s father claimed that “Mr. Anderson approached our gate and left what appeared to be a present for one of our family members in the form of a white flower and a handwritten note. Approximately an hour later police officers arrived at our family residence. I am informed that the police department subsequently filed another report
documenting the latest incident.”
“Among other things, the note left by Mr. Anderson professed his love for my daughter Billie, claimed that at some point in time Billie had been watching Mr. Anderson and writing songs about Mr. Anderson, and that Mr. Anderson really wanted to meet Billie,” he added.
