Ryan Seacrest sucking in his gut got caught on camera today. The 45-year-old “Live! With Kelly and Ryan” host was filmed making his way onto the morning set with 50-year-old Kelly Ripa on Tuesday – while media focus has largely centered around Ryan’s recent show absence and COVID test health scare, today sees the “American Idol” host back in the news – for possibly having packed on a few pounds. The video showed both Kelly and Ryan seemingly jealous of producer Michael Gelman’s made-to-order set breakfast. Check it out below.
Scroll for the video. It’s been food talk all-around of late, with this week already seeing Kelly admit she’s been cooking meat dinners for her family, despite herself being a non meat-eater.
The video showed the co-hosts making their way through backstage corridors. Kelly, stylishly outfitted in a patterned floral midi dress and heels, was accompanied by Ryan in maroon pants and a sweater – that seemed to be making the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” producer need to suck in his waist for the cameras.
Keep scrolling for the video. Both “All My Children” alum Kelly and Ryan were momentarily distracted by the small coffee station just before the set door. Ryan, walking towards the camera, showed his sucked-in torso, bravely admitting: “SUCKING IN!!!”
The calories were tempting, though. “Did you see that Gelman gets his own meal?” Kelly exclaimed as she realized exec producer Michael has hard-boiled eggs ready for him. The two perused the breakfast that wasn’t theirs, with Ryan admitting that the hard-boiled eggs smell good. More after the video, including Ryan’s PJs!
Ryan continues to face the spotlight amid his COVID scare. An unmasked “American Idol” video had fans worried, but it was reports of a “minimal cough” that had “Live!” viewers wondering what was going on – Kelly was left in the lurch for two days last week as Seacrest proved a no-show. Returning to the set, Ryan immediately thanked Kelly for holding down the fort.
“Thank you for covering,” he told her, adding:”Following strict protocol, got the negative test results for COVID. Makes you feel very good.”

Ryan, who has yet to mention his COVID test drama on his Instagram, has, however, been updating to show he’s the picture of health. A home selfie ahead of the COVID scare came sweat-drenched, with Ryan writing:
“20 second sprints and 10 second breaks on repeat for 25 minutes. My shirt is drenched in sweat… and tears.”
The photo wound up a perfect target for trolling Kelly, though, who swooped in to mention 19-year-old daughter Lola Grace as she wrote: “That’s nice sweetie. Ps Lola wants her shirt back.”
