Ryan Seacrest needs to slow down and focus on his health, according to several fans who advised the star to do just that after his recent COVID-19 scare. The 45-year-old star is beginning to worry his followers after they noticed he’s burning candles at both ends following his two-day absence from his morning show with Kelly Ripa last week.
As The Blast reported, Kelly Ripa was left to host “LIVE With Kelly and Ryan” solo and the network kept the reasoning quiet.
It wasn’t until Ryan Seacrest appeared alongside Kelly Ripa on Wednesday, October 21 that views finally got an answer. When the “American Idol” host return to “LIVE,” he addressed the reasoning for ditching Kelly, chopping it up to the network’s strict COVID-19 policy.
“Thank you for covering, following the strict protocol,” he told Kelly Ripa. “Got the negative test results for COVID. Makes you feel very good.” Kelly Ripa responded by telling Seacrest that she “didn’t have any doubts” about her his condition.
Since returning to “LIVE,” Ryan Seacrest has been hamming it up with Kelly Ripa while also focusing on his KISS FM radio show. In the following days after rejoining Kelly on the show, the
“LIVE” co-hosts geared up and took a pimple popping lesson from Dr. Pimple Popper herself.
The TV duo even got in a marriage-sized squabble backstage before one this week. A new video shared on the show’s Instagram page has viewers concerned over Ryan Seacrest’s health and appearance.
The clip, posted on Tuesday, shows Ryan Seacrest looking fit and trim. Despite commenting on his non-existent gut by joking that he was “sucking it in,” the star looked as if he was showing off a clean bill of health but not everyone took it that way.
Wearing a burgundy striped sweatshirt with tight matching pants, a few “LIVE” viewers implied that Ryan Seacrest looked sick and warned him about the consequences that could come from not taking a much-needed break.
Viewers flooded the comments with their concerns. “Ryan does not look good lately…getting older and doing to much i think is getting to him…he needs to rest,” one person replied to the backstage video. “Ryan, how many jobs do you have? Get some rest!” instructed another. “Is Ryan okay?” questioned a third. Some even put in some two-cents about Ryan Seacrest’s wardrobe choice.
Despite getting mixed reactions on his appearance, Ryan Seacrest was all smiles when he hit the stage, making it clear that he was happy to be back at work.
