According to PEOPLE, the "American Hustle" actor continues to recover from his blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries that left him in a "critical but stable condition." The Golden Globe nominee was airlifted from his Reno, Nevada, residence to the nearest hospital, where he underwent surgery and remained in the intensive care unit for close monitoring.
Two days after the rush to the hospital, the actor's representative told the publication about the occurrence. They said Renner was "moving snow from his driveway on Sunday so that his family members could depart his home after spending New Years together."
In another statement, the rep added, "Jeremy's family would like to express their gratitude to the incredible doctors and nurses looking after him, Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, Washoe County Sheriff, Reno City Mayor Hillary Schieve and the Carano and Murdock families. They are also tremendously overwhelmed and appreciative of the outpouring of love and support from his fans."

His family has remained by his side during his surgeries. One was fixing the collapse of the area's right side and crushing his upper torso while the other placed metal pins around his legs.
Renner's sister, Kym, provided updates on her brother's impressive progress nearly two weeks after the incident. Speaking about the latest development, Kym expressed, "We are so thrilled with his progress. If anyone knows Jeremy, he is a fighter and doesn't mess around. He is crushing all of the progress goals. We couldn't feel more positive about the road ahead."
