During her appearance on NBC's "The Tonight Show," the comedian made a shocking revelation that revealed she wasn't particularly good in astronomy, per E! News.

Handler shared with Fallon that she only realized that the "sun and the moon" were different planetary bodies at age 40.

Before that, she believed they were "the same thing" and had spent years living with the false information. It also appears that she had thought everyone shared the same belief about the sun and moon being one body.

Shocked by her statement, Fallon shared his disbelief, saying, "I found this hard to believe, what are you talking about?"

Handler responded that getting to know she was wrong was also quite a shocking moment for her at the time. "It was shocking to me, as well," she responded to Fallon's remark.

Handler said she learned she was wrong during a trip to Africa alongside her older sister Simone.

"We were on safari," she told her host. "And my older sister, Simone, looked up at the sky, and she said, 'Chelsea, Chelsea, look up. It's not often you get to see the sun and the moon at the same time," adding that she replied to her sister, saying, "But they're always together."

Her response stunned Simone and spurred her to seek clarification on what Handler meant. However, Handler "tried to gloss over it," but her sister wasn't going to take no for an answer and pressed for a reply.

Earlier in the week, Handler opened up on "The View" about how her former relationship with fellow comedian Koy helped change her perspective about men.

"I hated men before I got together with my ex, and he kind of renewed my faith in men because he was such a sweetheart," she said on the daytime show, per Hollywood Life.
