Cardi B’s Best Friend Star Brim Back In Court In Racketeering Case

Cardi B’s best friend Star Brim is taking steps to improve her life and was cut a break by the judge presiding over her criminal case.
Star Brim (real name: Yonette Respass) is currently prohibited from leaving the state without court approval. According to court documents obtained by The Blast, her lawyer recently wrote a letter requesting approval for his client to travel to Georgia. Star's lawyer said she needed to be there to work on a skincare line she is developing.
Her lawyer said, “Ms. Respass, who is also known as “Star” is an entrepreneur who is the sole support of herself and her son. She is involved in a number of businesses ventures and is currently represented by Alexandra Rago, the owner of Ambitious Minds, Inc. a talent management company.”
The documents read, “She is currently in the process of launching an all natural skin and hair care line called “Star Quality Skin.” These are natural and organic products with minimal ingredients that will be reasonably priced. The goal is to provide people of color with affordable products that have responsible and sustainable ingredients. The launch of the products is scheduled to take place in Atlanta.”

Further, her team informed the court Star was the host of a #1 iTunes rated podcast, which she expects to relaunch soon. They say this venture generates income for Star. The judge signed off on the request and allowed Star to travel for work.
Star is clearly impressing the judge with her business moves.
In court documents obtained by The Blast, prosecutors accused Star of being a high-ranking female member of the Bloods subset 5-9 Brims in New York. Her nickname was reportedly “Godmother.”
Prosecutors wrote, “The 5-9 Brims is a violent criminal organization that has terrorized residents of Brooklyn and Queens by committing brutal acts of violence in public places, trafficking narcotics on the streets and defrauding victims through financial schemes.”
Star was charged due to her allegedly ordering gang members to assault two strip club bartenders who she believed “disrespected” another member. The indictment said Cardi B went back weeks later and assaulted the women again because she believed they slept with Offset.
Cardi’s best friend was one of 18 individuals arrested in a sweeping New York City Bloods gang roundup. She is facing years in prison if convicted.
Back in June 2018, Cardi showed her friend love on social media with a lengthy note. She said, “For two and a half years Star been out on bail .She got caught by the Feds and lost a lot of s--t .Never asked nobody for sh-t ,got a 9-5 trying to figure things out .She started bartending something that was so new to her and it was alil difficult at first since NYC strip clubs give hard times to Brown Skin bartenders and barely hire them !Yeup i said it ?but you know what ?she ain’t stop and became great !She was able to save thousand of dollars ,pay for good lawyers bought two cars ,a Jeep and a pink Porsche pay them off.”
Cardi ended, “.Made well over enough for her bid and for when she come home and got a great business plan for when she touches down back in town .Ya maa happy cause she away or like she just got snatch but shorty been prepare for this and turn herself in early cause she just want to get sh-t over with and do her time .I mean why wouldn’t she ? after she finish her bid no more probation, can travel everywhere and she can live a normal love life!Dont gottta worry about falling in love knowing in the back of her mind she got to do time .In Soo proud of her i seen her growth and i see how responsible and determined she is/.”
