Will the slander ever end? 

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have once again become the study field of royal expert, Russell Myers. He suggested recently that the couple have been out of their elements and are becoming irrelevant to the public. 

He also went ahead to compare them with Prince William and Kate Middleton, who are still very much engrossed in political and economic affairs, at the behest of the royal house. 

Is Markle and Harry losing importance because they decided not to be royals anymore or is there more to this? Let’s find out what the expert had to say in his explanation.

In a conversation with Ann Gripper, the host of “Pod Save the Queen,” Myers said that the former royal couple are beginning to ‘sound off’ about important issues, thereby making their opinions ‘irrelevant.’ 

He also went on to say that when they speak on global issues, it’s very different from when Middleton or Prince William speaks, because their input are considered relevant.

Myers noted that the main problem with the former royals, is that there is no one to advise them on what to say and how to say it, therefore, they just speak about anything that comes to mind. 

Since their marriage on May 19, 2018, the public has had its eyes fixated on Markle and Harry. From how they dress, to how they speak and how they even bring up their child, Charlie. 

The constant prying has not reduced till date and now, tabloids and experts are taking it a step further, to tell the couple what they can or cannot say about political matters. 

When it comes to scrutiny, the lovers have had their fair share and that was one of the reasons they decided to become ex-royals. However, as long as they remain in the public’s eyes, they are still eligible to public and personal chastening.

Royal expert, Myers, made a comparison between Meghan Markle, Prince Harry and Kate Middleton, Prince Williams. He said that when the former speak on global issues, it does not ‘come off well.’ This is in contrast to the latter, who not only speak about global issues, but have forms of relevance attached to it. 

The comparisons between these two set of couple has been an unrelenting trend for months now. When Markle does something that people believe is wrong, they urge her to be more like Middleton and so on. 

In the concluding part of Myers’ conversation with Gripper, he noted something else that the former royals may experience if they do not back off. 

“They’re going to be left behind a little bit,” he said.

Gripper on the other hand, retorted that the couple are only doing what they’re supposed to do as members of the Harry Walker Agency, in New York. This agency according to her, stands for the Obamas and Clintons.

“When you’ve signed up to be public speakers, then that kind of is their role, you’re public speaking,” she said.
