Tia Mowry is showing off black girl magic as she pays homage to her natural black hair.
The "Sister Sister" star has consistently advocated for being 'unapologetic black' as she continually pushes for more representation in all industry circles. In a recent update, she took to her Instagram to celebrate her natural hair and give her millions of followers a dose of inspiration concerning the treatment of their "black hair."
Tia Mowry Celebrates Her Natural Hair In New Post
The 44-year-old elucidated her natural hair and beautiful makeup-free face in the short IG clip posted while running a black long-sleeved bodysuit with a simple silver neck chain. She read out a sweet message to black women starting with "let Back hair be Black hair." Mowry continued, saying:
"this is my real hair. It's time for us to celebrate our uniqueness. You shouldn't need to damage your hair for it to be considered beautiful. Because it already is beautiful. Black women are the strongest women I know. My mother. My grandmother. My great grandmother. Celebrate yourself."
The accompanying caption began with a note of advocacy for the representation of black women in the media. She wrote, "Let Black hair be Black hair. I didn't grow up with enough representation of real black hair in media. I want to be that representation for you. Your hair is amazing just the way it is, and you should be proud, like I am.π #BlackGirlMagic."
Conclusively, she communicated that she had a hair product dropping soon and tagged her hair beauty page by penning, "And you guys! I've been working on a special project that I am so excited to finally share with you all soon. This is a sneak peek of what's to come. It was only a short time before fans flooded the comment section to share their opinion of the video. Some were intrigued by the message and big announcement, while others quickly pointed out their problem with the message.
A delighted fan wrote, "omg Tia!!! πππ«ΆπΎ this is awesome! I CAN'T WAIT. *followed @4ubvtia immediately!! π." Another follower that seemed pleased with the message wrote, "when I tell you I'm loving this version of you Tia!π." A following fan, "Okaaay Tiaβ¦ do ur work!!ππΎ."
One fan who found the message hypocritical wrote, "It's easy to go natural when your natural is already the standard of beauty." Another commentator with the same opinion wrote:
"This video is so problematic, but I digress." While a third person advised, "I like you Tia but please let unambiguously Black women have their spaces and representative themselves let biracial women have theirs too. You're biracial and that's beautiful on its own. I'm Black and beautiful on my ownπ."
Tia Mowry Is Letting Loose Since Her Separation From Her Ex-Husband
If the TV personality is not sending a stellar ode to black women, she is living it up with her brother, Tahj Mowry. A report by The Blast detailed a night out with her brother, who couldn't keep up with her vibes.
The mom of two posted an exciting video where she counted her alcoholic drinks. Mowry started the night with an espresso martini, and by the time she got to the dirty martini, which was the main drink of the day, she was a bit tipsy and giddy.
Per reports, by the third drink, Tahj, who had hopped on the fun ride with his sister, jokingly begged the camera for help. Mowry broke out into a complete singing and dancing performance, and her baby brother was not having any of that.
Even when her party buddy wasn't hyping her up, her comment section was filled with requests to form a girl clique with the cookbook author. Notable in the report was the Singer-Songwriter, Kelly Rowland, loving every moment of the clip but was curious about the "morning post."
The former singer is known for being family-oriented, and while her unexpected divorce from her ex of 14 years may have separated her from Cory Hardrict, Mowry decided to keep her family together for Christmas.
The 44-year-old posted pictures that captured her family spending the holidays under one roof. One particular picture in the report showed the family of four smiling happily into the camera as the "American Sniper" actor held on affectionately to the 11-year-old.
Another displayed the ex-couple seated side by side as their daughter lay on their legs, receiving kisses from both parents while their son sat on the carpeted floor between his father's legs. The caption, "Family will ALWAYS be family. Merry Christmas from our family to yours," sent a strong message to the viewers.
