While the actress was dressed in a vermilion Alexander McQueen dress that clung to her body li glue, she offered up the interviewer and photographer drinks. “D oes anyone else want one?” she asks a handful of times.

However, the staff at Vogue are just in awe that she is making martinis, “her favorite recipes,” according to the magazine. “A vodka martini with a twist in a chilled glass and a cherry tomato crostini with lots of garlic and a bit of chopped chile pepper.”

According to Vogue, she was so particular about the way she made her martini and accompanying crostini.

“She has made sure to cut up the baguette before she gets started on the drinks (not her preferred sequencing) so that the slices have a chance to toast in the oven. The flat of the carving knife descends on a clove of garlic; it doesn’t stand a chance. A rogue cherry tomato rolls off the cutting board; she leans over the counter and spears it with the tip of her knife. This is a woman at home in a kitchen, even one illuminated by set lights and framed by a boom mic.”

The enticing actress managed to convince some of the staff to drink up with her. It’s no fun drinking alone anyhow.

After a few martinis and pics, the actress sat down in a sweatshirt, jeans, and boots to talk about her craft, the transition was effortless, like her movements in the kitchen. Pugh is busy being one of the most sought-after actresses in young Hollywood right now.

Her latest film is called A Good Person directed by her ex-boyfriend Zach Braff. She plays a woman who is in a car crash with her fiancé’s family and is the only survivor. It focuses on drug addiction, survivor’s guilt, and trauma.

Pugh who is a producer on the film suggested to Braff that she shave her head. Inspired by her own experience as a teenager and dealing with mental distress at times she would make major changes.

“Things were so wrong in my head and things were so wrong with school life and things were so dark and scary. And so, I would try and do quick things like, Oh, well, I can change my nails. Oh, I can buy an eyelash kit. I can buy this weird cellulite cream on Amazon.”

Pugh described the haircut as “a mistake that she has to wear on her head for the entire film. I just wanted it to be a dreadful mess.”

The actress got into the whole odd couple that was their relationship. “They imagined me with someone younger and someone in blockbusters,” she thinks. But defending their relationship, she says, “We weren’t in anyone’s faces. It was just that people didn’t like it.”

Even when the couple broke up the public had an opinion about the rumors. “We’ve been trying to do this separation without the world knowing, because it’s been a relationship that everybody has an opinion on,” says Pugh.

“We just felt something like this would really do us the benefit of not having millions of people telling us how happy they are that we’re not together.”
