“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Marlo Hampton has settled beef with the IRS over an unpaid tax bill.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the Internal Revenue Service has filed a release of a federal tax lien. The official document states Marlo has paid off the entire $13,418.55 debt.
The lien was originally filed last year and was over an unpaid bill from 2017. The IRS warned Marlo if she didn’t pay up quickly, they could begin the process of seizing her property and assets to collect on their money.
Marlo appears to be living her best life after paying off the bill. She recently posted a photo decked out in Gucci on her Instagram.
One troll tried to come for her in her comment section writing, “All that money you spent putting that white company’s name on your body! That’s why black folks don’t have generational wealth! We wore their chains for hundreds of years and now we willingly spend our money to buy significance by branding ourselves with their brand name like it makes us more valuable! Sis, invest your money by building your own brand! You are the real queen, start acting like it!.”
Marlo is set to appear on the next season of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” without her BFF NeNe Leakes, who decided she will not be returning for another round. Tamara Tattles reported NeNe tried to negotiate a $125,000 check from Bravo in exchange for attending Cynthia Bailey’s wedding to Mike Hill. Bravo and producers reportedly rejected the offer and NeNe did not show up to the wedding.
NeNe hasn't publicly addressed the alleged $125k demand she reportedly made to Bravo.
NeNe has been beefing with Andy Cohen and Bravo in the weeks since announcing her departure. She accused the network of forcing her out despite her being an original cast member who helped launch the show.
As The Blast previously reported, Marlo was present during the wild trip the cast took for Cynthia’s bachelorette party. The party turned a little steamy when a male stripper, who was hired to entertain at the party, reportedly hooked up with Porsha Williams and Tanya Sam.
B.O.L.O. The Entertainer, the stripper, came out denying the allegations. He released a video on Instagram where he said, "To whom this may concern. I am not just a stripper. I’m THE stripper. I built an entire brand off of professionalism. It doesn’t just stop here. I got fans, followers, and supporters who can attest to that. The rumors and allegations going on right now are straight bullshit."
Porsha has yet to address the allegations that she got down and dirty at Cynthia’s event. She did show up to the wedding where she killed it in a black sparkly dress.
