Prince Harry Gets 'Spare'-d The Royal Treatment By Stephen Colbert!

Prince Harry has turned a tragic comment into a career trajectory.
The Duke of Sussex’s highly anticipated memoir, “Spare,” has been released and several bombshells have been revealed.
“H” as his wife, Meghan Markle, calls him, revealed his truth about King Charles III, Queen Consort Camilla Parker Bowles, Prince William, Kate Middleton and other members of the royal family.
Prince Harry's "Spare" Is Out Now!
In recent days, Harry has been making the press rounds to different TV outlets including “60 Minutes,” “ITV News” and “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”
On Tuesday, January 10th, Harry hung out with Colbert, but was SPAREd the royal treatment.
In the event you aren’t familiar with what “Spare” means or refers to, let The Blast fill you in!
In a leaked extract from “Spare” obtained by The Guardian, Harry claims King Charles III told the late Princess Diana his work was “done” after his birth in 1984.
King Charles III Once Referred To Harry As "The Spare"
Harry writes that on the day he was born (September 15, 1984) his father celebrated the “wonderful” news by telling his ex-wife, “Now you’ve given me an heir and a spare- my work is done.”
Obviously, this is a reference to the royal family’s line of succession.
King Charles III was made king following the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II. Once KCIII passes, Prince William will take over the throne and become king followed by his first-born, Prince George (9).
Harry is now fifth in line to the throne given Prince William and Princess Catherine have welcomed two more children, Princess Charlotte (7) and Prince Louis (4).
Of course, Colbert capitalized on this and did a fun sketch with Prince Harry and another ROYAL member… of Hollywood.
In the sketch, Colbert has trumpeters dressed in British-looking attire with gold trumpets in hand.

The late-night talk-show host is awaiting somebody’s arrival when Prince Harry walks around the corner.
“Whoooa, whooa, whooa. Stop. Stop. Stephen, not needed but thank you. I appreciate it,” Harry reassured the show host.
“What are you talking about? This isn’t for you! Get out of the way, he’s coming,” Colbert retaliated.
And then in walks… TOM HANKS!!!
Tom Hanks Gets The Royal Treatment & Fanfare!
“I’m back! Where’s my fanfare?” Hanks asked while Prince Harry threw rose petals on him.
Fans seemed to like this sketch compared to Jimmy Kimmel’s “Two Princes” sketch from last week.
“Harry tossing flower petals on Tom! Epic,” one viewer wrote.
“Omg, lmfao! What a good sport Prince Harry is!! And throwing Rose’s 🌹 at Tom Hanks!” another commented on the video.
“Harry is a good sport. And has a sense of humor,” one person noted.
“I love this: short, sweet, Hysterical!! I’ve rewatched 5x already,” another echoed.

Last week The Blast reported on Kimmel’s “Two Princes” sketch and the lack of applause it garnered on social media.
The father-of-two claims Prince William was “piping hot” during a conversation at his London home, Nottingham Cottage, in 2019. The conversation about Markle escalated into physical altercation.
His older brother reportedly called the actress “difficult,” “rude” and “abrasive,” which in turn led to a physical altercation.
Prince William allegedly grabbed Harry by the collar, “ripping my necklace, and… knocking me to the floor.”
This resulted in Harry falling down on top of a dog bowl and it shattering under his weight. This caused bodily injury to his back.
“I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out,” Harry writes.
Of course, this is RIPE material for a late-night talk-show and Kimmel jumped at the opportunity.
The sketch was titled, “Two Princes.”
It features two actors dressed up as the late “Purple Rain” singer in a kitchen.
A narrator, acting as Prince Harry, details the scene from the “Spare” extract.

Given it’s Kimmel, once the extract is done being narrated, it then goes into “Prince” Harry telling “Prince” William, “Then I made him face the music.”
The sketch garnered mixed reviews from Twitter users.
“Wow Jimmy – you think abuse is funny? #pathetic,” one person tweeted.
Another echoed, “Assault is funny. Okay.”
“@JimmyKimmelLive You have a history of championing racism and violence so this is on brand,” a disgusted Twitter user commented.
Yet another person asked, “Sorry, was this meant to be funny?”
