Samuel L. Jackson Had A Fight With His Wife
According to Page Six, Samuel and his wife, LaTanya, were reportedly involved in an angry exchange of words during their appearance at the Theatre Communications Group gala on Monday.
One source told the publication that the celebrity duo had their altercation in the press room at the Edison Ballroom in Midtown. However, it was unclear what they were arguing about.
Another source shared that Samuel seemed "annoyed," suggesting that the heated conversation with his wife had left him in a bad mood.
"They apparently were in a fight when they arrived. They posed for pictures together, and then the fight [went on]," said an insider who attended the night event.
The "Pulp Fiction" star abruptly departed the gathering, maybe to go home, but one event organizer said he never intended to stay for the duration. LaTanya ultimately accepted the honor alone from former Miss America Vanessa Williams.
Samuel L. Jackson Reportedly Left Due To COVID Concerns
Sources, via Page Six, later reveal that LaTanya offered an explanation for Samuel's absence, saying that her "husband left the event due to COVID-19 concerns."
A rep for the gala also echoed the same sentiments shared by the female director about her husband leaving the gathering.
"As the top-billed star of 'The Piano Lesson,' Mr. Jackson is extraordinarily cautious about the risk putting the production in jeopardy by exposing himself to COVID-19," the rep explained, highlighting the Avenger star's involvement in the Broadway revival of August Wilson's "The Piano Lesson."
The rep added, "Ms. Jackson accepted on behalf of both she and her husband simply to minimize his risk of exposure. Mr. Jackson had only ever planned on doing photos and then leaving, as everyone involved with planning the event knew in advance."
LaTanya Jackson Helped The Actor Overcome Addiction
Samuel and LaTanya have been married for 42 years and share one daughter, Zoe, 39. In the past, the actor has attributed his success in overcoming his addiction to his longtime wife.
"I've always had my wife LaTanya, who's my harshest critic," he revealed in an interview, per Huff Post. "She'd say: 'You're so intelligent that the first time you read something, you think you understand it intellectually and emotionally ... But there's no blood in it."
Once Jackson achieved sobriety, his better self ultimately emerged, and he later developed into one of Hollywood's most sought-after stars.
"It wasn't until I got sober that I knew fully what she meant," the Marvel star added. "Before, I used to do stuff on stage and kinda look for the reaction from the audience….once I was able to ignore that, and focus on the relationships with the people I was onstage with, I was finally able to blossom into whatever I might think I am now."
Samuel L. Jackson Was Recently Observed Liking Adult Videos On Twitter
Samuel recently made headlines on his birthday after Twitter users observed his account "liking" several X-rated adult videos on the platform. Many of Samuel's fans sought to warn him that the public was seeing his likes. However, more and more individuals learned about what had occurred, which led to the actor's act going viral at the time.
Netizens who also got in on the discussion about Samuel commented that the actor had not done anything illegal and should not be bashed.
The likes were later erased as the incident gathered more public attention, but only after observant followers captured screenshots and records of them. At the time, it was not confirmed if the Marvel actor, a member of his staff, or a different person who manages his account was responsible for liking the adult videos.
