The Chainsmokers are this week’s “Call Her Daddy” guest and they’re telling their deepest darkest secrets… and some lies along the way.
Alex Cooper welcomed the musical duo into her home for the January 11th episode of ‘CHD.’
The Chainsmokers Share Secrets On "Call Her Daddy"
Andrew “Drew” Taggart and Alexander “Alex” Pall formed The Chainsmokers in 2012 and recently marked their 10-year anniversary together.
Taggart revealed that when he “auditioned” for the Chainsmokers, there was “another kid” part of the group, but he later backed out and all that was left was Pall and Taggart.
The “other kid” wanted to go and do his own solo career, and he’s now a dog walker according to Pall.
Luckily for them, the Pall and Taggart hit it off and basically embarked on a “thriving relationship.”
The duo admitted they have gotten into physical fights and fight like brothers, because they’re constantly together.

They’ve been performing 150 shows per year for the last several years.
“It’s kind of like a love story. You’ve been together for ten years, you guys met on a blind date,” Cooper said, to which the Chainsmokers agreed.
When asked about their fans, both Pall and Taggart had nothing but praise for their fanbase and said they have no “rabid” crazy fans stories.
However, Pall did admit he’s been telling a FAKE fan story for years just for the hell of it.
Alex Pall Reveals Fake Fan Story That Made It To "Larry King Live"
“I’ve told this fake story for years, because we don’t have a crazy fake fan story. I just came up with one and I’ve lied about it for like, seven years, and I’ve become so good at telling it,” Pall told Cooper. “Basically, we play this show in Italy and there’s this fan in the front row that was stone cold staring at us and it was really awkward. And then in the middle of the show she pulls out like a buzzer and starts shaving her head, but not changing her reaction and then she starts eating her hair… and then she disappears into the crowd.”
Taggart confirmed the fake story and said it made it all the way to Larry King’s show.
“He just made it up one day and we kept going with it,” Taggart admitted.
Their fans are “just so pleasant and passive.”
Later in the interview, Pall dove into a time when he was dating a girl while attending NYU and she was using Craigslist to get blow, aka cocaine.
“I remember going into the bathroom and I wasn’t sure what I was going to find. I went to the best friend text, like all about getting blow, you know what I mean,” he explained before adding he believed his ex-girlfriend had a drug problem. “But then it unveiled itself, like, ‘We’re out of money. How do we get blow? Like, I have an idea. Why don’t you go on Craigslist and pee on somebody.’ And I was like, ‘Oh my god.’”
Turns out his then-girlfriend was urinating on people for money to buy cocaine.
Pall admitted it’s a great breakup story.
