Others simply tweeted out their disapproval.

“Have we checked on the hypnotist that’s holding Austin Butler in a perpetual Elvis voice trance? #GoldenGlobes,” one Twitter user joked.

One person questioned if Butler’s voice will remain this way forever writing, “Trying to figure out if this is just going to be Austin Butler’s voice forever?”

And to top it all off, one fan urged Hollywood to cast him as late-comedian Gilbert Gottfried so that his voice gets stuck in that accent.

“dear Hollywood, please cast Austin Butler as the leading man in Gilbert Gottfried’s biopic so his voice can get stuck like that next,” they tweeted.

“I don’t even think about it. I don’t think I sound like him still, but I guess I must, because I hear it a lot. Um, I often liken it to when somebody lives in another country for a long time. I had three years where that was my only focus in life. So, I’m sure there’s just pieces of my DNA that will always be linked in that way,” he told reporters.

During his acceptance speech, Butler thanked Priscilla and Lisa Marie Presley in addition to The King himself, Elvis Presley.

“And lastly, Elvis Presley himself. You were an icon and a rebel, and I love you so much,” he said concluding his acceptance speech.

Following his first Golden Globes win, Butler met up with his girlfriend, Kaia Gerber, backstage for a much-deserved congratulations kiss.

The couple partied it up at the Chateau Marmont post Globes and, on their ride home, Gerber laid her head on Butler’s shoulder to take a little cat nap on the way home.
