Lindsey Chrisley Shares Thoughts On Getting Back Together With Ex-husband William Campbell
In her Instagram story, the mother-of-one posted an almost minute-long video addressing a question she noted has been constant for a while. The query was, "Do you think it could be God's plan to bring you and Will back together?"
She was dressed in a black hoodie, a gray undershirt, and a red cap and responded by first letting everyone know what she was up to for the day. The TV personality noted that she was trying to multitask by heating up her lunch between recordings, despite knowing she was bad at it.
Chrisley then said that she could understand why people kept asking her that question but did not have a concrete answer because she did not know God's plans for their futures. The blonde beauty then continued saying:
"All I can do is pray for God's will to be done, whatever that is if that is for us to be happily in relationships with other people. Then that's what I hope for. Whatever God's will is for that to be done."
The 33-year-old stated that the estranged ex-couple was in a much better place and mentioned that they both had dated other people for a while after they broke up. She concluded by saying that they had experienced significant growth since then and were in entirely different places in their lives than when they were married.
It is great how well they seem to be getting along, as fans will recall how shocking the news of their divorce was when she announced it. The Blast shared that they posted about their mutual decision on their respective social media pages.
Pictured smiling alongside her 10-year-old sitting in a spacious living room without furniture, she wrote, "While one door closes, another opens." The statement continued:
"It's with the deepest sadness that, after nine years of marriage, Will & I have mutually decided to end our marriage. We maintain the greatest respect & love for one another, & we're so grateful for our time together."
She assured her followers that they would remain friends and caring parents to Jackson but that she would also be focusing on new beginnings and moving to a fresh new place. The podcaster concluded, "Thank you in advance for respecting our privacy as we work through this challenging time for our family. ❤️"
Fans flooded the post with encouraging messages like, "I wish you all the best in your difficult time. God Bless you and your son ❤️ and "Sending all the love and happiness your way ❤️." One user called her an inspiration, writing, "You are such an inspiration as a woman and mother. Keep going, momma!"
Ups And Down of Lindsie's Relationship With Ex-husband
The pair, who met while schooling together at Georgia State University, fell deeply in love and weathered many storms together, whether it was disapproval from her family or breakups while they were together.
According to US Magazine, the start of their relationship was not met with excitement from the "Southern Tea" podcast host's family, especially her father, Todd Chrisley. After they chose to elope in 2012, her relationship with her dad grew even worse due to increased tension between them.
The family's patriarch told E! that he had an issue with both of them because of how they started dating, adding, "I don't think that the marriage started the way that it should have, and certainly not the way that a father would like to see a marriage start."
Lindsie also revealed that their marriage hit a huge road bump after they welcomed their only son the same year they tied the knot. The star told TODAY it was her fault because she neglected Campbell after their child was born, placing him second to the newborn.
Although they got back together, it did not last as they decided to call it quits after nine years in July 2021.
