After the show's first season launched last year in November, it quickly became the biggest comedy premiere in Peacock's history. Per Deadline, the streaming platform reported that more accounts watched the series on the weekend of its launch than any other Peacock Original comedy to date.

It exceeded their top comedy debut Craig Robinson's "Killing It," which will also return for a second season this year.  The publication initially noted that even though the company was inching towards more drama development in the new year, they still had plans to renew the show.

The Chairman of Entertainment Content, NBC Universal Television, and Streaming, Susan Rovner, said, "We knew fans of the Pitch Perfect franchise were going to sing the praises of Bumper in Berlin and enjoy seeing a new side of Adam Devine's character."

She credited their partners at UTV alongside Elizabeth Banks, Megan Amram, and Max Handelman for creating an incredibly "unique and charming story" with a new spin on iconic songs.

Rovner noted that they were eager to dive a lot more into the show with their audience members. The show follows Adam Devine's character Bumper Allen some years after the last Pitch Perfect as he heads to Germany to revive his previously failing career.

The model is no stranger to speaking her mind on hot topics, especially things that question society's standards, and this time was no different. The Blast shared that she dropped her own opinion concerning the most recent topic making its rounds - Nepo Babies.

The term was created based on the assumption that children from well-connected and wealthy families amassed more career opportunities than others. It caused a lot of uproars, and the British star decided to join in on the conversation via a video on her Instagram story page.

The one-time "Channel 4" host began by placing herself in the shoes of those being attacked, noting that the constant back and forth was getting dull. She also said that the nickname "Nepo Babies" was starting to get irritating, adding, "And that's a bit sh*t because you have your own human trials and struggles."

The designer educated them on the need to be accountable and acknowledge that they were privileged and that just because they were given a leg up in the industry did not render them incompetent. She noted, "It just makes you extremely lucky, and you need to acknowledge that and move on."

The Diet Suppressant critic admitted that not all of them came from household names, but even though they had to work harder than the more privileged ones, it was not more than the people who had to work extra with zero access and against all odds.

In conclusion, the 36-year-old disclosed that everyone had a bit of privilege as she used herself as an example, saying, "I'm more privileged than an actor with a disability. But I'm less privileged than you." She added, "We all exist on a scale of privilege, and to deny it and use the "hard work" argument is not only pretty ludicrous, but it also pours gasoline on the fire."
