Famous model Emily Ratajkowski calls out Ellen DeGeneres for a decade-old interview with Taylor Swift. The television personality was previously under fire for being rude to her staff and for previous interviews with celebrities.
DeGeneres' crew members spoke out against her, accusing the host of mistreatment during the pandemic lockdown period. The staff claimed they had little transparency or information concerning their pay or employment status during that period.
In an earlier interview, Swift talked about how she was reduced to the men she dated in the past early in her career. Other celebrities have also spoken out during or after their DeGeneres interviews saying certain situations at the time made them uncomfortable.

Emily Ratajkowski Slammed Ellen DeGeneres For Taylor Swift Interview
Ratajkowski recently took to social media to respond to a "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" interview with Swift in 2012. The clip of the interview showed the "Bad Blood" singer's obvious discomfort at having her past relationships and songwriting skills talked about and turned into a game.
In response to the posted footage of the decade-old interview, Ratajkowski wrote, "This is so f***ed up. She's literally begging her to stop." Several other fans of the artist, as well as some other celebrities, also posted in support of Swift and her apparent distress.
Per Page Six, Influencer Tinx wrote, "Unbelievable." Another comment read, "She's clearly visibly upset, but having to, like, 'perform' that she's laughing it off because an audience of people is laughing at her." "You can literally hear in her voice how upset she is," a Twitter user said.
Ellen DeGeneres Asked Taylor Swift To 'Ring A Bell'
The much-talked-about interview featured a very uncomfortable Swift, who raised several protests while DeGeneres put up pictures of her and famous men who she may or may not have been in relationships with previously. Celebrities like Taylor Lautner, Joe Jonas, Justin Bieber, and Justin Timberlake appeared on the screen.
DeGeneres also instructed Swift to ring a bell to signify what man among the multitude of pictures she had been in a relationship with previously. The artist asked the host to stop, saying she wanted to retain "the one shred of dignity I have.
Swift also claimed that she would likely receive "angry emails" from the other party, and she wanted to avoid that. When DeGeneres continued, the artist yelled out, "Stop it, stop it, stop! This makes me feel so bad about myself. Every time I come up here, you put a different dude up there on the screen, and it just makes me really question what I stand for as a human being."
Taylor Swift Says Interviewers Reduced Her To The Men She Dated
In an interview with Apple Beats' Zane Lowe years later, Swift spoke about her past interviews and how she was regularly reduced to the number of men she was involved in at the initial stages of her career. While she did not directly mention DeGeneres, the 2012 interview was described.
"When I was like 23, people were just kind of reducing me to — kind of making slideshows of my dating life and putting people in there that I'd sat next to at a party once and deciding that my songwriting was like a trick rather than a skill and a craft," the artist recalled per Page Six.
Swift continued, "It's a way to take a woman who is doing her job and succeeding at doing her job and making things, and it's, in a way, it's figuring out how to completely minimize that skill."
Other Celebrities Call Out Ellen DeGeneres
Besides Swift, a number of celebrities have slammed DeGeneres for making them uneasy during the show. Mariah Carey, for instance, spoke on it after the host outed her secret pregnancy in 2008. At the time, Carey pretended to drink a glass of champagne, but the host caught the move.
After suffering a miscarriage, the Grammy winner said the experience was "uncomfortable" for her. Dakota Johnson also took a swipe at DeGeneres after the host accused her of not inviting her to her birthday party. The actress said at the time, "Actually, no, that's not the truth, Ellen," after which she described when she invited DeGeneres.
Ahead of May 2022, when she closed her long-running show, DeGeneres was accused of being "rude" to her employees. However, the show host's production company reps denied the rumor stating that "Telepictures can confirm it's untrue."
