“90 Day Fiancé” star Karine Martins dropped her restraining order petition against her estranged husband Paul Staehle.
According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, Karine and Paul have dismissed their dueling cases. The outlet reports the reality star dismissed three emergency protective orders on September 16.
The court documents noted the dismissal was at the request of the petitioners. All future court dates have been taken off the calendar. The divorce appears to still be proceeding forward but they may drop it too.
Back in July, Paul and Karine got into a huge fight and hurled nasty accusations against the other.
Karine called the police on Paul to help her leave their home. When cops arrived, Paul told the officers Karine was free to leave but accused her of cheating on him. Paul told police that Karine had an open case with Child Protective Services. Paul called CPS on Karine accusing her of drinking around their son, which caused a case to be opened.
Karine took out a restraining order where she accused Paul of raping her and not allowing her to leave. Paul denied the allegations of sexual abuse. He wrote to his followers, “It truly breaks my heart it has come to this. I have bent over backwards. I found work. Got a new home. A new car. Let her buy anything she wanted. I did the cooking cleaning laundry and took care of Pierre. I have never in my life physically or sexually assaulted anyone. My previous domestic violence violation I was arrested over a very well written message that she could come get her stuff.”
He continued, “The other arrest was because I let my ex live with me because she had nowhere else to go. She called the police to get me arrested and get all my stuff but the officer that night saw through the BS and arrested her also.”
Paul ended, “Same ex has since messaged me to hang out and babysit her kid. Which I declined. Now here I am I have made motions to to the court for Karine to get mental help. I had had to double up my therapy to cope with this madness. Her motion against me with false allegations is for a 3-year restraining order against me and both my children. Alimony and child support. But I cannot see her or my children at all."
After filing for a restraining order, Karine addressed the situation on social media. She wrote, “All this past days I had a lot going on. As the media showed, I had issues where the police was called because I feared for my life and my son’s life which led me to ask for help and ultimately be rescued from an environment that no longer was healthy for none of us involved in the situation.”
She ended, “Relationships are hard and sometimes it just can’t be fixed anymore. I need this time to organize my thoughts, work on myself and care for my son after everything have been through in the last year and half. Just to clarify, the EPO was me, I had help from a translator since I do not speak English. I also would like to state that I’m not missing. The police knows where to find me if they need me. This is a legal matter not a “media matter”. That being said it’s the first and last time I will speak about it.”
