Demi Lovato told ex-finance their relationship was over BEFORE the story hit the media, despite the fact that he claims he learned of its demise through the ‘tabloids.’
According to reports, Demi was clear with her fiance Max Ehrich, that the wedding was off and the story didn’t break in the media until after they had the conversation.
As we reported, Max claims he learned of their split ‘through a tabloid’ and said he wasn’t aware he had been dumped while filming out of state.
“Imagine finding out about the status of your relationship through a tabloid,” the Young and the Restless actor wrote on IG.

“While your [sic] in the middle of filming a biopic movie about a Pastor in a Christian Church whose intention of the film is to help people,” he continued.
But, “Demi made Max aware that the relationship was over and it was going to come out in the press,” a source told People.com.
Adding, “It was a tough decision, but Demi and Max have decided to go their separate ways to focus on their respective careers. They have respect and love for one another and will always cherish the time they spent together.”
But, what happened to end this love story so quickly?!
The couple reportedly started having problems over the past few weeks after they were forced to return to work after quarantining together in Los Angeles.
At this point, Lovato lives in L.A. and is working on her music — but Ehrich is filming a movie in Atlanta, GA. In other words, the separation didn’t help the situation.
In a stunning move, the couple is now split just weeks after posting shots of themselves kissing. “Falling more and more in love every day with you honey,” Lovato wrote.
“[Max,] I knew I loved you the moment I met you. It was something I can’t describe to anyone who hasn’t experienced it firsthand but luckily you did too, she said in a different post.
Luckily, at this point, the split appears to be amicable.
