Grammy award-winning singer Celine Dion didn't make it to Rolling Stone's "200 Greatest Singers of All Time" list, and this has made her fans very upset to the point that they gathered outside the company's NYC headquarters to protest the snub.
This demonstration comes after Dion canceled her tours for 2023 and 2024 following her diagnosis of "Stiff Person Syndrome." While the publication left out the star, many other renowned artists made it to the list.

Celine Dion Fans Protest Her Exclusion From 'Greatest Singers of All Time' List
Fans took to the streets to protest Rolling Stone's snub of Dion on their list of "Greatest Singers of All Time." During the rally supporting the star, a reporter for the news outlet interviewed some of the fans.
In response to why they were there, one fan said, per The Wrap, "We are here to express ourselves in the name of Celine, because obviously, you made a big mistake. We want you to understand you missed the best singer in the world."

While the fan spoke with a French Canadian accent that sounded like Dion's, she insisted that the similarity wasn't why she supported her. She noted that she would've admired the singer even if they were from different places. "I could be German or anything."
Rolling Stone Got Flamed On Social Media Too Snubbing Celine Dion
Several fans took to social media to criticize the publication for not including the singer in their controversial list. A Facebook group reposted clips of the protest to other social media platforms. The videos had Dion's songs playing in the background as the protesters carried signboards around with texts like "Justice For Celine" and "Celine Is Not By Herself Anymore."
Twitter users also joined in on the social media protest by calling out the publication's list. "If I was there, I'd be at the protest! Celine Dion was a vocalist, an icon, EVERYTHING. Rolling Stone was out of line for this, honestly. To think we thought so highly of them," a Twitter user wrote.
Another commented, "I don't care what people think, but maybe you have never [been] snubbed, discriminated against and made felt like an outsider in your elite life. Then you won't understand the meaning of such protest, whether it's offline or online protest like we all are doing."
While the publication snubbed Dion, several other musicians earned spots on the top 200 list, including Taylor Swift, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Micheal Jackson, Sam Cooke, Louis Armstrong, and Rihanna.
Another Protest Was Going On

According to The Wrap, a more critical protest got the public's attention that same day, just across the street from the Dion protest group. Some anti-trump fans came out to protest against the ex-president being allowed to run again for Presidency after being impeached twice in the past.
Editor Kate Erbland posted a clip of the two protests on Twitter with the caption, "Big day for midtown protests as…uh…yes, it's Celine Dion super-fans and anti-Trump types literally across the street from each other." The anti-Trump protest date, January 6th, also turned out to be the anniversary of the surprise attack on the United States Capitol in 2021.
Celine Dion Has A Rare Health Condition
The "My Heart Will Go On" singer released a video in December last year explaining that she has been diagnosed with a rare health condition. This made her postpone her upcoming tour dates. She revealed that it was a neurological illness called "Stiff Person Syndrome."
According to research, it is a disorder that increases muscle stiffness and makes it hard to walk or even move. For some patients, it gets progressively worse and makes it nearly impossible to get out of bed. However, others have less severe symptoms and could manage the disease with muscle-relaxing treatments.
In the video, the 54-year-old revealed that she'd been struggling with the condition for a while, and it was hard for her to open up. "I've been dealing with problems with my health for a long time, and it's been really difficult for me to face these challenges and to talk about everything that I've been going through."
Despite her current state, she hopes to get better soon and has asked fans to remain positive.
