“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Kyle Richards is showing her former costar Teddi Mellencamp some love Bravo axed her.
Teddi and her husband Edwin are currently moving into their new mansion in Encino, California. On Instagram, Teddi showed off the housewarming gift that Kyle and her husband Mauricio sent her. Kyle purchased an expensive Hermes blanket for her new pad.
Teddi captioned the post, “Love you guys.” The love from Kyle comes after a rough couple of weeks. Teddi has been dealing with accusations she runs a “scam starvation company” and losing her main gig on “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”
As The Blast previously reported, earlier this month, Daily Mail broke the story that Bravo was set to fire Teddi. A source told the outlet, “The network has not been impressed with her performance on the show. They considered cutting her last season but gave her one last chance.”
The source added, “She is boring and stale and does not offer anything to the franchise with her robotic and staged delivery when interacting with the other cast members. The issue is, the other cast members don’t particularly like her and beyond Kyle, no one is friends with her.”
Days later, Teddi finally confirmed the news on her social media. She told fans, “I figured I could give you a little update on what’s going on. I recently found out that my contract as a Housewives is not being renewed. “
She ended, “of course, I could give you the standard response of “we both came to the decision that it would be best”, nah, I’m not going to do that. That’s not who I am. Of course, when I got the news, I was sad. It feels like a breakup almost because you develop such strong relationships with the cast and crew. You get to do incredible things that you probably never get to experience without the show.”
Teddi’s husband Edwin went off on producers after finding out the news. He trashed them in a social media post saying they didn’t use any good material. He wrote, “I wish this season showed more of what you filmed everyday growing our miracle baby, caring for our family, laughing with your friends and inspiring your clients.”
Edwin added, “Anyone that knows you, immediately falls in love with you and the reason is because of your heart and your laughter. Seeing sadness in your eyes when you got the call broke my heart but seeing how fast you bounced back today shows me that you have amazing things coming your way.”
