Sentencing for Jen Shah has been handed down. It’s 6.5 years behind barsfor wire fraud plus 5 years of supervised release.
Damn Jen Shah Is Actually Going To Jail
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star was apparently emotional in court when the sentence was read out loud. She spoke via a statement and issued an apology like she actually said “sorry” something the women on RHOSLC have been begging for for years from Shah for things she has done to them.
Jen went on to say, “with the proper medication I can now see what happened.” Shah ultimately pleaded guilty to one charge of conspiracy to commit wire fraud in connection with a telemarketing company she was involved with.
The prosecutors revealed that Shah victimized at least 10 people but presumably more all over the age of 55 a vulnerable peer group in society.
Jen Shah Got Off Easy
Jen may have dodged a serious bullet. Before the official sentencing, there was a possibility of her getting up to 30 years n prison and the feds were apparently hoping to get at least 10 years on her.
However, the judge, U.S. District Judge Sidney H. Stein said that he would apply some leniency towards Shah regarding how much time she will spend behind bars. The judge also said that Jen Shah is a character on TV and he is prosecuting the person who harmed all these victims. He referred to the show as and her on the show as, “simply a character. It's acting.”
As part of Jen’s plea, she has agreed to pay restitution up to $9.5 million. Up until who knows when Jen was claiming her innocence. She spent all of this season of the Bravo reality show claiming she didn’t do anything and standing strong about her position.
Jen Shah Was Raided on Reality TV
Fans of the show will remember the episode that started all the obsession. Jen’s Salt Lake home she dubbed "Shah Ski Chalet" located in the resort ski town of Park City, Utah was raided by homeland security and the FBI.
Footage showed her sons and other family members staying in the home being brought out one by one while guns are drawn. The authorities then entered and raided the home. They ended up finding a slew of counterfeit purses and designer accessories.
Meanwhile, Shah received a mysterious phone call in the infamous sprinter van scene and took off claiming her husband was in the hospital. The entire moment was suspect until the news dropped, and it all made sense.
Good luck Jen. Is that what you say when people go to prison?
