Selma Blair was able to venture outside her home for a meal at one of her favorite spots, and the star is sharing that the small experience out was good for her soul amid the turmoil of 2020. The “Cruel Intentions” star took to Instagram on Monday evening to reveal her trip earlier in the day at Mauro’s Cafe inside the Fred Segal store on Melrose in West Hollywood. Blair has been open with fans about the effects of the quarantine life, and how she’s been craving a return to normalcy.
Selma Blair treated her 2.4 million fans to an outfit of the day shot when she revealed an all-white jumpsuit to her dinner.
“A fresh getup for dinner at Mauro’s. Clinging to it for dining sanity. It’s my one big evening out every so often,” Blair captioned a series of photos.
She added, “the light has been golden from the fires. But clearing. Also Fred Segal is an LA staple and more charming and appreciated than ever.”
It’s unclear who the actress dined with at Mauro’s.
Among the accessories Selma Blair included with her look, along with her protective mask, was a large silver heart designed by Danish artist Georg Jensen. The actress recently shared the piece on Instagram, and explained the inspiration behind the priceless item.
“My heart to yours. This @georgjensen piece was synonymous with my mother. It reminded me of the tin man. And now I have her heart. I guess I always did.? I see you.”
Blair has been sharing about her mother on social media after she passed away earlier this year.
Selma Blair’s mother was a judge, and the star took a moment to draw similarities with the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg during an online tribute to the SCOTUS judge.
“Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg . Small and determined, the notorious RBG will always be a leader for equal rights. A visionary. A titan of the law. An original. My mother, a magistrate in her own life was also determined and focused but RGB was a major player in our justice system in her own incredible life.”
The tragic losses and trying times of 2020 have caused Selma Blair to search for many answers over the past several months. She has tried to work out some sense of what’s going on by sharing her thoughts on Instagram with fans.
“I swear, I don’t know how anybody has the bandwidth to process what is happening here. Everywhere. It is a lot to take in, even if you sit in a lucky spot of time, Blair captioned a recent photo.
