Lisa Rinna is drawing the curtain on a fantastic performance on "The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills."
After joining the show in 2014 in its fifth season, she quickly endeared herself to many viewers with her self-deprecating attitude – poking fun at her lips and hair. It's the end of an epic era for the TV star who is exiting after eight years of drama, sassy retorts, and a lot of exciting messiness.
Lisa Rinna Ends Contract With Bravo After 8-Year Stint On 'RHOBH'
After an intense season made worse by the death of her mother, Lois, who died after a stroke, the actress confirmed she would not be returning. PEOPLE magazine exclusively confirmed the news of her departure, which also came with a statement from the business owner herself. She stated:
"This is the longest job I have held in my 35-year career, and I am grateful to everyone at Bravo and all those involved in the series."
The 59-year-old noted that it had been a fun eight-year run, but she was even more excited for what lay ahead. It's worthy of note that the decision was only taken after her contract expired at the end of the last season.
The star and Bravo weighed their options and business obligations and came to a mutual agreement. Fans will miss her presence in the series and all the memorable moments that the model created.
An example is one that happened in her debut season, where the "Days of Our Lives" alum threw a wine glass at her former co-star Kim Richards. Apparently, the 58-year-old had implied that Rinna was trying to stop a secret about her husband, Harry Hamlin, from getting out.
She was also known for creating a famous catchphrase, "Own it, baby," which she lived up to throughout her time on air. In fact, it looks like her exit did not come as a surprise, especially to her fans, because during the eighth season, she dropped major hints.
On her Instagram Story, the "Sing Your Face Off" former contestant posted a throwback picture of herself pre-Housewives, writing: "I was Lisa F---ing Rinna before HW and I'll be Lisa F---ing Rinna After."
It was then accompanied by lyrics from the song "Roxie" beside an image of Renée Zellweger in 2002's Chicago — a role she played in 2007 on Broadway. The lyrics read:
"I'm a star! And the audience loves me! And I love them. And they love me for loving them. And I love them for loving me. And we love each other. And that's because none of us got enough love in our childhoods. And that's showbiz, kid."
Apart from starting drama, the star is known for stating that it is her job to call out the bullsh*t of the "RHOBH" cast. The Blast reported that the Broadway star, who is not afraid to speak her mind, shook the table so badly that she received backlash.
Of course, Rinna faced the criticisms like a champ by reposting an image of her cast members in a pyramid order, with words above their heads. Intended to shade her, the words: "Maligned, Attacked, Antagonized, Abused, Discarded, Deceived, Crossed and Betrayed" specified their experiences with the "Entourage" guest star. Instead of trying to explain herself, she wrote:
"Just doing my job, folks. Just doing my job. Calling out their bu*ls**t one cast member at a time."
Lisa Rinna's Supporter Pleads With Her To Never Change
Despite being referred to as a problematic person, this public figure still has a lot of adoring fans who love her for who she is. The "Community" guest actress might not be a favorite of her co-stars on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," due to some of her actions in the series.
This has not stopped her followers from increasing on the show and social media. The Blast shared that her posts inspire and are loved by users. One adoring fan could not help but sing the praises of the "Dancing With The Stars" alum who posted the feedback on her Instagram story.
Rinna shared a screenshot of her DM that read, "Your Instagram makes my day. Never change 😂❤️." The former "8 Simple Rules" actress drew a yellow circle to draw proper attention to it.
