The rapper shared a special tribute post on September 11th to honor those who lost their lives due to the 2001 terrorist attack. She shared some throwback pictures of herself that showed her in front of the Twin Towers before they fell.

"Got West Coast in my name but the East Coast has my heart. This was the day my dad took me to the Statue of Liberty for the first time and the first pic I ever got with the twin towers behind me. I’ll never forget on 9/11 being in 8th grade and hearing on the radio on the way to school that the twin towers had been attacked by terrorists. My dad worked in those buildings a lot and my biggest fear was that he may be gone. I’ll never forget that gut wrenching feeling as my mom and I frantically called my dad over n over while he slept in and missed the calls. Finally he woke up and called to let us know he was safe. Thank you God for not giving my dad work in those buildings that day! My thoughts and prayers are still with all of the families who lost loved ones on this tragic day in American History. To the kids of today consumed with Instagram and Tik-Tok.....get off your phone and enjoy the time you have with your loved ones while they are here. You never know when tragedy may strike ??❤️???? #911 #NeverForget #GodBlessAmerica #september11,” she wrote on social media.
