Farrah Abraham Slammed By Fans After Getting Caught In Bizarre Lie

Farrah Abraham was only trying to share a little self-appreciation for all the hard work she's undergone to earn a college degree, but after serving up an interesting tidbit that was quickly fact-checked by fans, the former "Teen Mom" star wasn't exactly met with Pomp and Circumstance.

It all started on Friday afternoon when Farrah Abraham took to Instagram to share a video she had made to celebrate her recent accomplishment -- earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Los Angeles Film School.

The ex "Teen Mom" star's message to her 2 million followers began with a rundown of Farrah's accomplishments through the years.

"THE SMELL OF SUCCESS ? ON THIS VERY SPECIAL FARRAH FRIDAY IS EPIC, I LOVE MY FARRAH WALK OF FAME STAR ? , I RECEIVED A DEGREE IN WHAT I’M FAMOUS FOR TODAY, AS I KNOW AND ACTION THE VERY FOOT STEPS OF CHANGE FOR EQUALITY FOR WOMAN IN ENTERTAINMENT DAILY, WITH INCLUSION AND DIVERSITY SINCE I FIRST SENT IN MY CASTING TAPE FOR 16&PREGNANT ON MTV IN 2008," the star wrote on Instagram.

Although Farrah's Instagram post was meant to be congratulatory, many fans couldn't shake off the info that was slipped in about the reality star having a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

"Funny cuz according to the walk of fame website you don’t have a star on the walk of fame," one fan wrote.

"You don't have a star on the Walk Of Fame. Why lie about something that can be easily checked online or by contacting the Walk of Fame committee," a second fan commented.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame is located on Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street and has become a huge tourist destination for fans to come take pictures next to the imprinted stars of their favorite celebs.

On her IG page, Farrah did indeed show what appeared to be a star bearing her name, but a quick search on the actual Walk of Fame website shows no record of the former "Teen Mom" star.

In fact, the only Farrah registered to the Walk of Fame with a star is ... Farrah Fawcett.

While others continued to bash Farrah for concocting such a bizarre lie, one person pointed out a possible explanation for the snafu:

"[Her] program that she enrolled in used images of the star on the walk of fame as they announced the graduate's name. Since it was virtual graduation, because of COVID, They used a fake star instead of them actually walking up getting their degree."

Instead of bringing clarity to the situation, a second fan responded, "I didn’t know they gave out degrees in porn?"

Farrah may be taking heat from fans and critics, but she has worked hard for what she has and is constantly proving the naysayers wrong. In her graduation post, after earning graduating Magna Cum Laude with a BFA in Entertainment Business, the reality star listed off her accomplishments:

"I’ve shown a network that type casting is beyond off AND WRONG, I’ve shown no one must conform to gender stereotypes, I’ve shown that I am beyond being sexualized and male perspectives on female talent will never be credible or justifiable, I did more then break cycles of abuse, racism in my family, I made history decreasing teen pregnancy rates for many years, and as the only talent in the history of #viacomcbs to be fired 3 times and rehired three times and always make successes for the company ...
