Bella Thorne, probably best known as CeCe Jones on the Disney Channel series Shake It Up, recently shared during an interview with Entertainment Tonight that she and her long-time friend and co-star Zendaya have frequently been placed in awkward situations online.
The Netflix actress shared details about her latest movie The Babysitter: Killer Queen, before going over how their careers “get pitted against each other,” which has actually been a long running issue for the two of them.
There are posts still public on Bella’s social media showing how this was prevalent even two years ago.

Thorne said that she believes people really like having “Beauty Battles” between stars to determine who they think is more pretty. She attributed this trend to just being something fun and a bit controversial.
"I think that's what people love to do,” Thorne said.
Thorne publicly shot this behavior down in a post which mentions Zenday and her.
“Beauty battle? That’s not right. Damn it’s been years and people still wanna pin us against each other in some way. :( love you z” Thorne stated.

Bella also said that she thinks this isn’t an habit exclusive to just her and Zendaya. She shared in the aforementioned interview that she thinks this is something other women face too.
"I think people love pitting women against each other," she said. "It's always this and that. It's been happening to me and Zendaya since we started the damn show. It's no surprise."
She went further than this, sharing that Disney channel stars are especially common in these kinds of superficial feuds created online.

"When you've got women and you're growing up in the same market — even just as well other Disney stars; even if they're not on the same show — you still get pitted against each other."
Ironically, Thorne went further than this and shared how she doesn’t read any of the news articles online because of their “negativity”.
"I honestly don't read articles, because I'm not going to waste my time hearing their negativity and what not. I have better things to fill my head with — with growth, real growth."

Besides her current acting gigs and social media activity, Bella is also looking forward to seeing Zendaya at an upcoming award show after being nominated for Lead Actress in a Drama Series
for her time on Euphoria.
Bella shared how she loves the show and is hoping to see Zendaya win the award!
"I love Sam Levinson. I love her, so I'm gonna have my fingers crossed the whole entire time. I'm going to be waiting for this acceptance speech!"
