Miley Cyrus Faces Backlash Bending Over Unclothed With A Mirror View

Miley Cyrus is receiving mixed feedback to birthday suit action shared with her 115 million Instagram followers.The 27-year-old superstar singer updated her stories with some clothes-free action on Wednesday night – no stranger to the unclothed look, Miley was already swinging on chain-suspended balls in the buff for her 2013 "Wrecking Ball" video.

Miley, who flies the flag for feminine-strong expression and made 2020 headlines for self-posted nip slips, is back in the buff. But not everyone is digging it. Check it out below.

Miley, recently in the news for everything from her Cody Simpson split and VMAs win to her "Midnight Sky" release, had snapped herself in nothing but very glittery makeup and posing against a mirror counter. The former "Hannah Montana" star, leaning forward and affording a revealing – but safe – view of her slender frame, also showed off a bold red lip, her striking COVID mullet, plus a flawless complexion and her signature tattoos.

"BISOUS," Miley wrote – that's French for "kisses." The singer hasn't been kissed right back, though.

Miley, who still has her Instagram hashtag limited after exposing her chest in 2020 – the platform doesn't seem to think "community guidelines" are being respected – now sees her stories going viral. Over on The Daily Mail, readers have been responding. The most-upvoted comment questioned the point of it all.

"I would kill myself if my life goals were waking up, going into the bathroom, taking a photo of myself in the mirror and then posting it online for everyone to see. I mean why? What's the point? I can't wrap my head around the shallowness of it all."

Miley, generally not linked to the Kardashians, now sees one fan blaming the Calabasas-based family for kicking off the nude selfie trend. "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star Kim Kardashian, now all over the news as her family's show is axed, is arguably the founding father of the nude selfie – "She and millions of others....I blame those K creatures," one fan wrote.

Miley endured some pretty heavy trolling in the comments, with one user calling the selfies "creepy." "Why does she have to be nude to show off eyeshadow?" one user asked.

Miley has been cranking up the style game and knocking the ball out the park with her glitzy dresses of late. The "Bright Minded" host might slouch in sweats for her Instagram appearances, but it was sheer and mirror-ball Mugler as the singer picked up her VMAs in late August – Miley won Best Editing and Best Art Direction for 2019-released "Mother's Daughter."

Miley also made headlines for her sheer and chest-exposing post-VMAs look. Love it or hate it, the stunner does seem to be pulling off the skimpy looks like nobody's business.
