Heather Rae Young Unveils Son's Nursery 5 Months After Sharing Ideas

Heather Rae Young is finally showing off her unborn baby's nursery!

While she awaits the birth of her first child with her husband, Tarek El Moussa, the reality star is giving fans an insight into his room. This move is in line with the "mom updates" that Heather has been dropping since revealing her pregnancy nearly nine months ago.

After kicking off the new year with a sweet get-together with Tarek and his two kids — Taylor and Brayden — at their home, Heather is re-focusing on her baby. To that end, the "Selling Sunset" star gladly showed off exactly how she designed her baby boy's room ahead of his early 2023 arrival.

Donning a white sleeveless top and dark overalls, the expectant mother stood in front of a door, telling her three million followers that it was a "very special day." She then stepped into her "baby boy's nursery" that had taken "months and months and months" to design.

Inside the room was a "touch of elephants" in the form of framed photos and teddy bears because Heather is "obsessed with them." The 35-year-old subsequently showed off the crib that tied the aesthetic of the room together with its non-toxic black-and-white paint.

Another thing that went well with the matching room was the changing table next to the baby's crib. Heather finished the Instagram clip by strolling to the windows, stating:

"We were thinking about what we wanted to do. We wanted it to be [a] calming environment. So we wanted to close the curtains, rock him to sleep [which] brings me to my cozy Baby Latto chair."

She added that her obsession with the chair was based on it being velvet and "easy to put together because we didn't have to put it together. It came like this." Below the clip, Heather partly wrote:

"Baby El Moussa Nursery Reveal!! Now that his room is all ready I'm even more ready for him to be here!! But for now, I'm just going to take a second to soak it all in."

With its 50k+ likes, fans also trooped into the comment section to drop their takes and helpful advice for the soon-to-be mom. One person jokingly commented, "Can you tell she's a new mom? Velvet black chair in a nursery [laughter emojis]."

Another person advised, "try not to wear your outside shoes in his room so you can let him have tummy time . less germs," and a third added, "You're going to want another chair, I'm sorry Heather. Definitely going to want something you can take a lil nappy nap in while bonding."

Heather had previously shared design ideas with her followers, asking them to guess which room would be her baby boy's own. Per The Blast, the "The Flipping El Moussas" star had used the period that her beau and his kids were on a family vacation to "do some nesting and planning."

The "Christmas in Compton" actress shared photos that highlighted different nursery plans, with the first featuring a black-and-white room decorated with matching tones of throw pillows, teddies, and wall pictures.

The next idea was a neutral-toned room filled with a wooden cream crib, matching walls, and a wall frame close to the crib. Other slides included a monochrome room with a mix of nude and black-and-white décor, a plant-inspired nursery decorated with matching wallpaper, and a room similar to the first option. 

Last month, The Blast reported that Heather was eager to share what she had learned from a birthing class. Alongside a selfie that showed her wearing a brown top under a white fur-like jacket and matching white nails, the social media influencer explained:

"I really can't believe this year is almost over. I feel like the last few months didn't even exist- Did we even have a November?? Lol As the very end of my pregnancy nears I am in final prep going into 2023."

She added that until she had the birthing session, she would have made Tarek "stop whatever he was doing to take me to the hospital." However, the coach had  taught her "some tricks to try before rushing to the hospital," equipping her with "so much information I did not know."

Heather ended her caption by highlighting her readiness to "bring this boy into the world," receiving an avalanche of support from her fans and followers.
