Britney Spears has had enough of Instagram dragging her out over those repetitive posts. The 38-year-old pop icon today appeared in rare selfie footage shot in video mode as she shut down suggestions that her posts are recycled – #FreeBritney is mostly convinced that the "Toxic" singer has zero control over her social media as her 2008-commenced conservatorship continues. It's now extended through February 2021.
Britney's video today directly lashed out at the allegations. It also provided an explanation of the floral crop tops and peasant blouses that appear in dozens of posts.

Scroll for the video, plus a little explanation over why Britney's 26.2 million followers are a giant bundle of panic these days. Britney's video showed her candidly filmed and wearing a simple, v-neck t-shirt in light blue as she spoke into the camera:
"So, a lot of people have been saying that a lot of my posts are not new but they're old, but just to let you guys know, none of my pictures or posts are more than a month old."

Britney, whose posts often come captioned with rose emoji, continued to explain that her similar shots, also showing her with a rose crown in her hair from her "mini rose garden," are part of a project: Project Rose.
"Yes, I know. I did wear the same top 17 times," Britney said, continuing: "But it's for a project. Project Rose. And you will be seeing way more of Project Rose."
Text below the video then confirmed that Project Rose "is a personal photo project...GET READY FOR MORE ON MY INSTAGRAM!!!" Spears added. More after the video.

Britney first sparked concern on the repetitive posts front earlier this year. 12+ images of the singer shot against a red wall turned into more against a white or yellow wall, with Spears also appearing in her backyard. As The Blast reported, fans aware that 68-year-old dad Jamie Spears controls his daughter's finances and many other aspects of her life, have been dubbing Britney's Instagram a setup.
One fan counted "29" times Britney has worn the same blouse. Today might be the first video clap-back, but it isn't Spears' first attempt.

Back in July, Britney appeared to shut down speculation over her social media by saying she was being "authentic." #FreeBritney didn't budge, with this summer also seeing Spears post a 1.26 a.m. time-stamped photo she stated was taken on August 6. Britney then wrote:
"And to the peeps who think I’m posting the same pics …… well you know us girls …... it’s the same top and same hair but if you look at the details it’s a completely different picture ????? !!!!!"
Britney has been battling her conservatorship for over 12 years. She has also confirmed supporting #FreeBritney as dad Jamie makes headlines for calling the movement both a "joke" and a "conspiracy theory."
