Cher Unveils New Nick Name For Her Younger BF, Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards

Cherilyn Sarkisian, popularly known by the stage name, Cher, has a new pet name for her Boyfriend, Alexander 'AE' Edwards, this new year.

The duo sparked dating rumors in November of the previous year when they were spotted in an extra cozy embrace as they held hands at a Los Angeles restaurant. Barely a month and a half into their relationship, the pop icon calls her 36-year-old boyfriend a familiar name tag in a tweet to her four million followers, suggesting she is having lots of fun with her newfound love interest.

The American actress took to her Twitter page to post a picture of the young lover boy kissing her on the cheek at a party. In the adorable pose, Cher dressed in a black suit jacket with silver stripes over a black camisole and silver breast harness, then complemented the look with a blonde wig, a diamond ring, and a big grin.

Meanwhile, Edwards slipped into a black suit that left space for his neck tattoo to show; he wore simple eyewear and held a drink in his hand. Alongside the photo was the caption that wished her man a happy new year with an accompanying "Daddy" nickname.

The caption of the tweet was the highlight of the post because it was pretty flattering for viewers to catch a glimpse of the playful nature of their unusual love affair. It didn't take long before fans camped under the tweet to give their take on the relationship.

The comment section is filled with mixed reactions, with some congratulations the music icon on being true to herself and enjoying her life, while others believe the young boyfriend is taking advantage of her and not being faithful to her.

A separate tweet by the "Goddess of Pop" showed the lovebirds in yet another pose, overly smiling as they locked eyes with one another. Indeed, the legendary musician is ready for the "haters," as her caption read:

"This should Send you Haters to The Part in Wizzard of OZ…WHEN DOROTHY THREW WATER ON THE wicked Witch & Melted her." 

A recent report by The Blast detailed how she welcomed comments from fans who congratulated her when she posted a massive engagement ring to her. Cher had the internet deliberating whether Edwards popped the question in a Twitter update.

The caption, "THERE R NO WORDS, ALEXANDER, A.E," confirmed that the accessory was given by the father-of-one, but as she intended, it didn't clarify if it was just a gift or a proposal ring.

Immediately, the "Believe" crooner attempted to explain her reason for the initial post by suggesting that she posted the ring solely to show the "cool fingernails" that held them. The fingernails, which allegedly belonged to her boyfriend, were painted with black and lime-green colors to create a beautiful flame-like layout.

Per reports, the explanation did little to disperse the rumors as fans and celebrities camped underneath the post to give their congratulatory messages. One follower wrote, "Congrats sis !!!!!! Many blessings to you !!!! Merry and happy everything !!!."

Another excited but confused fan asked for more clarification on the ring's purpose by writing, "It's a very beautiful and the BIGGEST Diamond I've ever seen, but MOTHER what does this mean??."

A long-time fan who was unsure of what the bling meant tweeted, "Wait wait wait wait hold up! Is that diamond ring or ring with diamonds? What does it meeeaaaan????????? The Celeb Yvette Nicole Brown kept the message simple, writing, "Congrats!."

A very excited Cher fan wished her a merry Christmas but still dropped a comment about the bling because that was the focus of everyone. They wrote, "Well that is one gorgeous ring!! Lucky you, how sweet of him Wishing you both a very Merry Christmas!"

The Blast noted last November that the 76-year-old could care less about what anyone has to say about her union with the music producer, who is much younger than her. Similarly, she confirmed the relationship in a tweet where she cautioned the onlookers to "mind their own business." 

The social media upload began with a snapshot of her lover with the following caption, "Alexander❤️." Still pointing out to "Critics" to stay away from the relationship, she declares that she has no intention to defend the love affair and ultimately isn't interested in listening to their opinion as she is in control of her life.

The "Dark Lady" singer concluded the post by writing, "Haters are Gonna Hate… Doesn't Matter That we're Happy & Not Bothering Anyone."
