Kaia Gerber Sparks 'Barely Legal' Storm In Only Birthday Boots

Kaia Gerber turning 19 in only a pair of latex boots appears to have sparked a storm. The model and daughter to Cindy Crawford updated her Instagram on Thursday to shout out being another year older – and she did it in nothing but boots with a topless finish requiring some censoring.

Kaia, whose Instagram engagement was already above Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid's in 2018, received plenty of likes. Then again, she managed to raise some eyebrows with her sexy nude snap. Check it out below.

Scroll for the photo. The new Louis Vuitton face had opted for a glitzy magazine shoot photo, one she grabbed from her recent feature for Vogue Japan. Kaia, photographed in black-and-white and lying down while fully nude, was flaunting her supermodel figure with 90s-inspired glam – not a million miles off what mom Cindy once did.

Kaia wore black latex boots rising to the thigh and absolutely nothing else. Her arms protected some modesty, with a black star covering the L.A. native's left nipple.

Kaia's post, seen below, attracted the attention of a major celebrity before drawing in the negativity – 24-year-old "Descendants" actress Dove Cameron, herself going fully butt-naked on IG recently, left Kaia a "Happy birthday ANGEL."

Kaia had taken to her caption writing only; "nineteen" with a black-heart emoji.

Amid the gushing, there was some questioning. Kaia's go-to makeup artist Sam Visser has replied: "She's barely legal." And the comment has not only gathered likes, it's generated replies.

"@samvissermakeup 19 used to be the average age of motherhood ??‍♀️," one fan clapped back.

The arguments very much sat either side of the fence for this one. One user slammed Visser, also known for doing makeup for model Bella Hadid and actress Lindsay Lohan.

"@samvissermakeup so? Is 18 legal or is it not? If the legal age was 25 and someone posed like this at 26 y’all would still be like “she’s barely legal” ?‍♂️," one fan replied.

Another came in to tell everyone to cool it, saying chill tf o, he's her makeup artist.

Then again, "@samvissermakeup I agree! ?‍♀️" made it very clear that not everyone was in approval. More below.

Kaia has been all over the news amid COVID. The model was still 18 when she fronted media outlets for giving herself a DIY tattoo in quarantine – just a "dot" – also finding herself in the news for her popular Instagram book club, plus her high-profile quarantine buddies. Kaia has been hanging with "13 Reasons Why" star Tommy Dorfman and British supermodel Cara Delevingne, then sparking romance rumors as she and Cara put on a PDA at a Black Lives Matter protest.

As to Kaia's Instagram, it's been packed with Milo, one of The Labelle Foundation-sourced puppies she's been pandemic fostering, plus her blonde and pink hair debuts.
